Need some creative help again please

Hi there,

I am in charge of our Trunk or Treat again this year and need some more help.

We are going for a survivor island theme.

I need a few ideas for games and such.

Please keep in mind we have 2-3,000 kids come through in 3 hours so everything has to be done in BULK.

One idea is to have a "pin the X on the treasure chest" on a large map. I can do this on an oil cloth. Was thinking to paint a map on a large maybe 4ftX4ft piece and then finding a big X for that.


Another is digging for treasure but I need an alternative to sand. They wont let us have sand in the building.
Was thinking bark might work but would that bring slivers?

any other ideas for carnival type games that arent too scary?




Also I need to find bulk treasure map paper. any ideas there?

Treasure map paper-- I saw in one of my teacher magazines that the teacher used regular cream colored paper and cut it wiggly on each side. The students then colored a brown on the wiggly side.

Try using rice instead of sand. If you need something even bigger, you could do a wading pool full of balls.

For treasure map paper, go to an office supply store or a print shop and ask them for a ream of parchment paper, which comes in a variety of off white and tan colors. They come 500 sheets to a ream, but you could have them cut the entire thing in half for you to make your dollar stretch a little further.

what about the fishing game... with a magnet on the fishing pole line and metal paper clips on the cardboard fish....
you've got to eat to survive right??

we did the fishing game and that was a huge hit last year!

I dont know if they will let us use rice either. I will have to ask about that.
