Need Some Computer Help--*Should* Be Simple

My DD has *done* something to my computer.

When I visit any website and go into their boards (including this one), the text is huge. On some sites, it is just the text that people type while the exact setup of the site is in normal size. Does that make sense? Anyway, it happened about a week ago and I was rather enjoying the large fonts; however, when I went to print my bank statement last night, I only can print about half of it because the text is so large. I've gone through all the "font" settings on my computer and my browser (AOL), which show that I am set at Arial 10. This is no way what is showing up. I'm at a loss where to go.

DD explains that as she was typing her science paper (in a large font), the computer kind of "messed up" and shut down. Ever since then, everything is in large font.

Any ideas?

Sounds like to me you have a virsus. I would run a Norton or AFee antivirus software. To see if have a virus. If you don't have a virus. I start with by downloading ad-ware and spybot for to see if have spyware on your computer. Try holding down the control key while moving the mouse wheel up and down. I accidentally discovered that this controls font size. I went for months with huge fonts before stumbling onto the fix.

As Aprille said, the ctrl/mouse wheel. Sometimes you or someone else will be holding, generally by accident, the ctrl key, and then roll the mouse wheel at the same time.

Go to VIEW and then TEXT SIZE and see if you can change it there.
