Hi, everyone :wave2:

I have a few questions about the Chef Mickeys breakfast.
one of my friends is going to Orlando from sept 17 till 26th.

I was able to get her a free breakfast voucher to have breakfast at any of the character breakfasts. someone had 1 voucher to many and decided to let me have it to surprise my friend with :teeth:

she is not going to be able to go to the Disney parks (money is just not there) since she is a single mom traveling with a 2 year old dd.

so .... I was wondering , if she goes to have breakfast at CM does she have to go to the park as well or can she just go to the Ticket and Transportation Center and take the monorail to the contemporary and then back to the TTC??

and if so, is it necessary to make reservations, since it is only going to be the 2 of them? how big are the chances she will actually be able to get to have the character breakfast while she is in Orlando.

Thanks for any info you can give me, it will be greatly appreciated!!
Just trying to make her vacation a big more magical :wizard:

Greetings Pat

You can go to Chef Mickey's without going to the park. It is actually located at the Contemporay Resort. If she is driving (I'm assuming that is how she would get to the TTC, she can just drive to the Contemporary instead. Officially, you are supposed to have park tickets to ride the monorail (but I've never seen them check).

She will definitely need reservations for the restaurant.

You're a great friend. To answer your question, she can drive up straight to the Contemporary. She'll be given a 3-hour parking pass and she can then go to Chef Mickey's.

After Chef Mickey's she can then take the monorail all the way and visit the other resorts on the monorail line before leaving.

Since it's breakfast, I would make reservations because CM is a very popular restaurant, even for 2 people.

Just because she can't go into the parks doesn't mean there she can't do things. There are plenty of things to do around Disney that doesn't cost any money:

- She can go to FW and do the petting zoo.
- Go to AKL and watch the animals from the Arusha Rock viewing area
- Walk around the boardwalk and play on the beach in front of BC/YC
- Go to Once Upon a Toy at DTD and make a Mr. Potato Head on the computer, then print it out for a souvenir of her visit.
- Go to the Lego Store at DTD and let her DD play with some Legos.
- DTD also has Mickey's Mart where there are tons of knick-knacks, all under $10
