I'm trying to figure out which book to read next. I just finished reading Harry Potter book 4 (again) and The Lovely Bones.

Can anyone recommend a good book that I can pick up next? I'll read just about anything although not really too much into Sci-Fi, (But Chris has a zillion sci-fi books lying around anyways).

I read that one too. I try to read one I've never read before in between re-reads of all my others!

I read "The Curious Incident of the Dog in Nighttime" recently and I really liked that. "A Question of Attraction" was an excellent kind of Adrian Mole-ish coming of age book. I've enjoyed Charlaine Harris's books--kind of mystery/vampire/romance novels--hard to explain but easy to read while I was moving and very enjoyable.

Umm...I read so much that's it's hard for me to remember what all I liked alot...Jasper Fforde is one of my favorite authors. He writes the Thursday Next series--a literary detective. Any of Diana Gabaldon's books are great if you've never read those.

The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom....I really enjoyed this one. A quick read....

Also just finished re-reading Grisham's Skipping Christmas. I think this would be a hilarious movie.

Wicked

Angry Housewives Eating Bon-bons

Anything by Harlen Coban

Da Vinci Code

Angels and demons

I just finished up the Jennifer Cruise books and they are okay. I love to read Janet Evanovich series. They are a great quick read. Grandma Mazur reminds me of my granny at home ;o). Linda Howard's books are good. The ones that are mystery with a little romance thrown in. I love Tammy Hoag books but they are a bit gory and usually involve people getting some luvin' as my husband would say. Hope these help. Have a great time

I just finished "The Secret Life of Bees" very good book set in 1960's South Carolina

I also LOVED, LOVED, LOVED "The Time Travelers Wife" it is a bit on the Sci-Fi side, but much more of a love story...as soon as I was done, I started it again.....great book!!!!! Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anison's production company have secured the movie rights to it...made me SOB!!!!!

"Because of Winn Dixie" is a great short story and I read it because Dave Matthews is playing Otis in the movie next year...very sweet and good to pass down to a preteen.

"Good in Bed" and "In Her Shoes" are by the same author and excellant!!! IHS is being made into a movie and was filmed here in S Florida

Try Robert Jordans wheel of time series,, there are 11 books out now,, three more to come,, very tolkien like , a really good fantasy series

I love The DaVinci Code and And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. I also like The Killer Angels (historical fiction) and The Blue Avenger books...weird but intriguing...oh yeah! Artemis Fowl trilogy...those were good.

I just finished reading The Devil Wears Prada. It was sooooo good. It was a pretty light read, but it was funny and entertaining.

How about The Wedding, by Nicholas Sparks. I'm reading it now and it's great!
