Well, I woke up this morning and realized that I had to go shopping TODAY for my DH anniversary present. Today is 21 years! Not too shabby since we got married real young and nobody gave us a year (nah nah nah nah nah).
Anywho......I've been out straight lately and haven't had a chance to go shopping. My problem is I don't know what to get him!
Last year it was a Richard Petty driving experience and dinner at Californa Grill......heaven.
Well, we aren't there this year, so back to reality.
He doesn't wear watches or jewelry, dosen't really have any hobbies (he's a work-a-holic) or is into sports. He just likes to hang out with me and the kids. We fish and camp but have everything for that. He plays computer games, but has all the updates and add-ons for his favorite. I've bought him others in the past but doesn't really like them as much as his Red Alert games.
I'm stumped! Please help..........
:(

Well, how about a new Cell phone? Or something like a Palm Pilot? Does he like to cook outside?? - New Grill?

Or you can go the practical route like a gift card to Lowe's or Home Depot???....or (gasp) you could go and buy some of that Jessica Simpson body butter and give him your own gift later on today....:o

Sorry no ideas but just have to say

See it's not just MEN who forget :rotfl: :rotfl:

GC for a massage?

We just had our 20th on the 30th of June and DH and I just said Happy Anniversary to each other. We're not big on special occasions, either one of us. There will be times when I'll get a fabulous piece of jewelry for no reason, plus anything I really want I know I can go and get.

Maybe a GC for a store he may like...electronics or such. He could then choose something he would like. I find that GC's tend to work best for the men in my family - they are happy and get to choose what they want, and I don't stress over what to get them!! ;)

How about a toaster or a blender??

;) J/K - although some men think their wives would love those items as gifts...;)

I second/third a gift card to someplace like Best Buy, etc.

Happy Anniversary!!:flower3:

Do you have one of those Road Trip grills for camping? I just bought DH one for our anniversary and he really loves it. I ordered a carrying case and an extra grill from Coleman.com. You can also order burner inserts.

MONKEYBOY!!!! Shame on you!!!!!

I didn't say I forgot...I said I haven't had time to go shopping yet. BIG difference! LOL

I'm willing to bet too that if he hadn't had lunch with his mother yesterday ..............:earseek:

Thanks for all the ideas......I'm still unsure what to do. We are at that stage in our lives where we don't really need anything and if we do, we just go get it.
Maybe some grilling cookbooks would work. We do tend to cook out alot and we did just get a nice new grill.
Hmmmmmmmm.....keep them coming tho!

If you just got a new grilll...what about grill stuff? A new "BEST CHEF" apron, maybe one of those fancy matching sets of grill tools (you know..they come in a case...bbq brush, tongs, etc), or one of those prongy-fork things that tells if the meat is done (and if it's rare, med, etc).

How about a new fishing rod/reel. A creel basket (isn't that the right name?!) full of smaller fishing-related gifts.

Happy anniversary!
Ginny

I saw some really nice picnic baskets on sale at Pier 1. You could buy one of those and take him on a nice romantic picnic in the evening.

One thing I did for my Dh when we were dating (back when we were make people gag cute) is make a "coupon" book. You can make for everyday household things he doesn't like to do or you can make it for ummm things couples like to do when children aren't around ;o) He loved it and wanted to know when he was getting another.

Good luck and happy annv. I just celebrated 18 months.
