Im going to have a break (or two) later in the year, but im undecided as to what to do. I have 2 options;
1
Go to Icmeler with friends for a week.
I was there last year, and loved it. It's a beautiful place and i'm definitely going to back at some point for a relaxing week. Whatever I decide to do it will be without junior, and a nice break in Icmeler is soooo appealing!
Pros: Great place, friendly people, good beer, excellent company.
Cons: I can't get option 2.
2
A weekend in Amsterdam with my brother-in-law, and a couple of days break to a Champions League game with Celtic
The first idea for a break was Icmeler the weekend I got back from Florida, at a friend's party. The people I went with last year convinced me (not that I needed any convincing!) that it would be a great holiday.
Since then, however, i've decided that I really want to go go back to Amsterdam again, as I haven't been for a couple of years. I have a friend over there that it would be great to see again, and I just generally love the ambience of the whole city. I used to go over a couple of times a year, but i've let it fall by the wayside in the past couple of years cos i've had a couple of big holidays. My brother-in-law is pestering me to book it up again as well.
If I do a weekend in the 'Dam, then it means that I have enough holidays left so that I could also go to one of Celtic's Champions League games. I haven't been to an away European game since we went to the UEFA Cup final in Seville in 2003, which was one of the most amazing experiences ever. I know that a normal CL away game isn't going to recreate Seville, but i'd love to sample the amazing atmosphere we create on European away days again.
Pros: Too many to mention.
Cons: I dont get option 1
And its 2 manic breaks
So, that's the choices. There's no chance of me getting impartial advice from my mates....the Celtic fans tell me to go to the game and the 'Dam (except my mate who asked me of course lol), and my Rangers supporting mates are telling me not to bother wasting my money watching Celtic getting humped
mad:
) and go to Turkey
What do you impartial, holiday-loving folks think?
