Trip: Friday Dec. 18 - Mon. Dec. 21

1. We are going to the late Holiday Tour on Sat. 12/19. The parade is at 6:30. About what time do they shut down FL before the fireworks? I was hoping to get over to Rancho for dinner after the parade, and possibly back to IASW for the fireworks. (This will depend on if we are able to see them friday or not)

2. Which night should I see the DEP? I was thinking Sunday, but DCA closes right after the parade and it'll be hectic getting back over to DL. Otherwise it'll be Friday which is the 1st night it's back...also crazy?

3. What time should I start taking out a spot for DEP? Where is a good spot?

I'm not sure what time they close down FL exactly, but you should be able to get to Rancho right after the parade bc they will only close the castle entrance before closing FL, so ppl are still able to walk through.
As for EP, either day you watch it, the fireworks will come on right after so there will be a lot of ppl walking out & going into DL. The lines going in can be long, but it's not that bad. The only thing is, is that MS will be packed w/ ppl unless you take the train someplace else.
And for a good spot, anyplace in the front of the parade route. You don't want ppl blocking you. :thumbsup2

Rancho is in Frontierland so you'll be able to get there without much problem. They won't shut that area down, they may route traffic differently so you may have to go from Adventureland into Frontierland but you'll make it. :)

If the parade takes the route that the Christmas parade takes, I would try to sit between the Alice in Wonderland bathrooms and the castle moat/enterance to Pixie Hollow, there are benches and in some places it is narrow enough that other people cant fit in front of you.

Yes its the xmas parade, but we have seating with the Holiday Tour by IASW.
