Tying to fit some ADR's into my schedule for October and need some suggestions. Willing to try new things, as long as I can recognize it and don't have to ask "what's this"? So far this is what I have:

Sat. 10/1: Lunch - Sci-Fi

Mon. 10/3: Supper - Need recommendation
Relaxing AM. Afternoon @ AK - mainly for parade. Don't like AK restaurants, so ADR somewhere that would fit in on the way to Contemporary for Magical Fireworks Voyage @ 19:30 would be good.

Tues. 10/4 - 19:30: Supper - Ohana
Maybe switch Ohana to Monday, but would need something for Tuesday after returning from SeaWorld.

Wed. 10/5 - 16:00: Brewer's Dinner - Rose & Crown
(Assuming it's same time/day/etc. as last year)

Thurs. 10/6 - ??:??: Supper - Restaurant Akershus
Brother, SIL, & 2 nieces want to take me here, then we want to see IllumiNations. Time suggestion?

Fri. 10/7: Supper - Need Epcot recommendation.

Sat. 10/8 - ??:??: Supper - 50's Prime Time Cafe
Time suggestion to see Fantasmic w/o package.

Any suggestions would be helpful!

On my last solo trip - I ate at whatever resturant I wanted - and did not feel awkward. So pick the places that entice you - and eat there !!!

ok you guys are making me question my DH's offer for me to go on a solo trip to WDW....

I flat out refused. I told him I would feel ackward standing alon in lines for attractions and eating alone.

On the other hand, there are many benefits to doing this. Going wherever and whenever you want. Stopping when you want to stop. Seeing YOUR favorites and only those.

I have no doubt about being able to get there and around by myself, but.......

How do you guys do it? Please give me the advantages of doing thiis. i think I can be easily convinced!

Thanks - I don't feel awkward and mostly just go at my own speed. I was just looking for some suggestions to fill in my schedule. Not necessarily solo places, just good dinner places.

Claudine - there's a whole bunch of solo WDW folks on the Adult/Solo Forum. You should check it out, lots of helpful people there.

Mon. 10/3: Supper - Need recommendation
Chef Mickey's for dinner (if you want character interaction), Concourse Steak House or maybe Boma's

On Monday I would not eat at 'Ohana's if you are in a time 'crunch'. While I love 'Ohana's I find it is a LONG dinner and sometimes your have a LONG wait time.

Fri. 10/7: Supper
Le Cellier - if you want Steak again - or maybe Chef de France. The Japanese resturant is a good choice too - because you are seated at tables of 8 - so you would have other folks to talk to. Same with Biergarten.

Personally I dont think you can go wrong with Epcot Resturants - for the most part.

nluvwithmickey - the reasons you posted are the reasons I love to go alone. I can walk as fast or as slow as I want - I can stop to take as many pictures as I want - I can look at something for as long as I want - and I can ride the rides I want how ever many times I want - as well as eat at all my favorites or try new resturants no one else is willing to try.

Go for it nluvwithmickey !!! I find vacationing solo - at WDW - as a female the safest and never am concerned or feel like I have to constantly pay attention to everyone else to make sure nothing will happen to me.

My favorite solo Epcot resturaunt is Chef's de France, because sitting at a window table is great for people watching. And one time, I got to watch the chair-balancer's performance outside from my table. I've never had any problem getting a window table.

Thanks Dixkneeland,

I am seriously considering this. Is it weird to eat at a sit down restaurant alone? Do people stare? LOL. I know it's no problem for counter service but sit downs...does it feel ackward to sit alone?
