The only socks I can find for DS are very thin (he's 2 1/2, wears size 7 1/2 shoe). I've checked WalMart, Target, department stores... he really needs some better socks to wear to WDW. Any brands I can look for? I could order online, I just don't know what to look for.

I'm stumped. I never had a problem with finding socks for my DD at that age. Did you try Kohl's? Anyone else have a suggestion?

Do you have a Marshalls/TJ Max? They usually have Tommy Hilfiger sport socks that I like and I recently bought my DS 3 1/2 some Nike sport socks there too. You could try Rugged Bear they have high quality kids outdoor wear.

Yes, thanks, we do have a Marshalls nearby. I will check there. I just assumed that someone like GoldToe (that's what DH and I wear) also made kids socks...but not this small, apparently. I did see some Oshkosh socks online that looked pretty good, so if Marshall's doesn't pan out, I will try those. Thanks for your help!

If you can't find thick socks, try having him wear 2 pairs of thin socks. Supposedly, by having on 2 pair, his chances of getting blisters are less, since the friction will be between the 2 pairs of socks, instead of his foot & the sock/shoe.

I get my ds (age 3 wears about a size 7 shoe) socks at walmart.

They are Hanes and come in a package of about 6. They are VERY thick. I worried they may be too thick but they work fine and I think he likes the cushiony feeling. You should be able to find them just look for the smallest size in the packaged socks and that should be them. They come up about mid-calf and have "HANES" written across the bottom along the toes.

When my DD was less than a year old we bought some white socks from a Lands End store that were super thick. When she had them on without shoes it looked like she was wearing casts on her feet. Not sure what sizes they come in, just that they had them in tiny sizes at that time (about a year ago)

I know you said you tried walmart but, I just bought mt 2yr old DS think ankle socks there. Ithink there a walmart brand. They were in the toddler isle. My ds also wears a size 71/2. Maybe its worth another look.

Good Luck

R4racing just reminded me Gap has thick socks too. They've got the "regular" tripple roll socks but they've also get thick athletic style socks. I used to put them on my January babies as booties and my son does now have a few pair of thick Gap socks I purchased at the outlet.

I got socks for my ds at Walmart, they are the kind that LMC mentioned above, but they are the low cut that come up to his ankle.

They have the gray cushy bottom. He is in the bigger size, but I got them for him last year in the smaller size too.

Have a great trip!

I did check WalMart again, perhaps they are just out, with all the back to school shopping?? But I found some at Marshalls~Adidas and also some Polo. They are nice and thick, I think they will be perfect. Thanks for your help, everyone!

I think I found just the kind you want at Old Navy. I've been buying them for fussy DS3 for about a year. They're crew socks with cushy bottoms. He loves them!

Gymboree has sport/crew socks which are nice and cushiony. Thick, but not too thick. My kids love them.
