Can I bring them on the plane? I can't seem to find anything on the airline website. I generally don't check bags, just carry on. Does anyone know?

you should be okay i seacrhed tsa found nothing saying you cant bring it through it say you can carry on ear plugs but nithing about what they can be made of. they allow other silicone product for medical use through securty so if they say any thing just say why you need them but if they dont say anything then you will be fine. the only other thing is to write tsa i hate for you to bring them and they decide to make a new rule and have you throw them out.

use this link to write them they have a section prohibated items just so you will know 100%

I think if you placed them in your little 3-1-1 baggie, then there should be no problems.

The silicone earplugs I'm familiar with are like a moldable putty, not gel-like. Is that what you are talking about?

The restrictions for carryon bags is for any liquid or gel that will not hold its shape when removed from it's container. The moldable silicone earplugs would not fit that description and can be packed in your carryon without issue. If the earplugs are silicone gel inside an outer layer, then they would have to go in your quart baggie as a liquid.
