Need shower head recommendations, please!!!

I am heading out today in search of a new shower head. We've had the one that's in the shower already for quite some time now and really have been needing one for a couple months. Yesterday morning, in the middle of my shower, the shower head itself came undone from the hose and hit me in the head and the water from the hose part was spraying all over the place.

I don't want to spend an arm/leg for it but don't want a reall chintzy one either. DH said he spent about $60 for the one we currently have, probably at Home Depot. I didn't really thing that were even THAT expensive. Thought you could get one for about $20 or so. LOL Anyhow, he said he could put up the plain shower head (one with no hose) but I've been so accustomed to the one with the hose that this is the type I'm looking for.

Any suggestions?

We have a fixed shower head (not handheld) from Niagara. We got it for free from our water company. It is low flow (1.5 GPM) but I don't notice a difference (except in our water bills!). It works great. They also make a handheld version. You can order it online here.

We bought 2 Waterpik showerheads just last week! However, this was not cheap....they were each $50 from Home Depot. I absolutely LOVE all the 8 settings. I feel like I am getting a massage each time I shower. It is so relaxing!!! I can't believe we didn't "upgrade" years ago!!!

I'm a huge fan of the speakman showerheads. Definitely more than $20 but sooo worth it. Not sure if they make handheld ones or not. Either way, installation is pretty easy. Just make sure you get plumber's tape.

Well, I had to go to Walmart for other things this morning so I decided to check to see what they had for shower heads. I ended up with a Waterpik one. This one, I'm sure is a different model than yours, since it was just $22. Here's what I got...
