What restaurants have fantasmic deals that give preferred seating, is it worth it to eat at these places just for the seating, and if so, which rest. do you all recommend?

The restaurants that participate in the Fantasmic package are: Hollywood and Vine Buffet (dinner worth 1 credit on Dining Plan), Mama Melrose (italian restaurant, dinner, worth 1 credit) and The Hollywood Brown Derby (Dinner, takes 2 credits on DP).

You must make the reservation in advance. It must be for dinner. You cannot do the package for breakfast or lunch.
While eating, your server will give you a pass. You will walk a long walk to a special entrance to your seats.

The seats are over to the side. Not in the middle.
I still think the seats are very good and if you go early, you can get great seats in the front (but on the side) of the amphitheater.

I think its worth it since you would have to go get seats an hour or more before the show and with the package, you should go get seats around 30 min. before the show plus you get a full meal with appetizer and desserts so its not a bad deal.

I agree with everything previous poster said. You will, as is natural, get differing views on which restaurant is the best. My DH and I prefer Mama Melrose.

We were just at DW last week and ate at Hollywood & Vine last Thurs with the Fantasmic package. I didn't care for the restaurant at all; too loud and crowded and the food (which is buffet) was just ok. But that is just my opinion! I would do it again though just to get the good seating for the show and not having to show up hours in advance just for a good seat. We showed up right before 8pm (the show starts around 8:30) and got great seats and didn't get stuck with the huge crowd leaving after the show. I love Mama Melrose and would prefer to do have done the pkg there but we couldn't get a reservation.

We like MM best and we have discovered that for the times we go, it's not needed.

i like the seats on the side. but i would not do H&V, not a fan.

It does depend on when you go. during busy seasons, very helpful. Low crowd times, not so much.

If you have not done Fantasmic, it could be worthwhile to give it a try and see how it works for your family.

DO show up early though. They open up the reserved seating area before showtime and let the masses stampede in :yay:

We do the package every trip ( that is over 25) we used to go to H&V but honestly it is to loud and the food is okay.... we much prefer Mama Melrose... there is a little something for everyone there. The way we look at it we have to eat dinner and it is probably tied for our favorite show with WIshes... so it is a must do for us... so if we are going to do both anyway why not do the package... and not have to wait in that awful line....

Puumba, I have a question. Say,if I take the fantasmic package. Do, I have to sit where they tell me to? As I prefer to sit in the middle. Also, someone mentioned not having to fight the crowds after the show. Do the fantasmic package holders exit. A different direction then the rest of the arena. Im thinking logically the same way they went in? TIA

Thank you OP for asking this question!
:thumbsup2
