This is my first post here, so I'm hoping someone can help me. We're planning our disney trip for my 4.5 y.o twin girls & 5 month old (or so--I'm due any time now!) for September. I'm having a hard time figuring out the best time to go to BBBo though. :confused3

Our flight lands at 11:30am on saturday & we're staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. I'm wondering if we can do BBBo (still undecided on which package to choose!) right after check-in (1:30 ish?), then go to Chef Mickey's for dinner (5:20) & MK afterwards for Spectromagic & Fireworks? It sounds like a lot to cram in, I know. Too much for the first day??

We're also going to the not-so-scary halloween party. Is it worth it to go before that instead? Then I'm wondering what happens if my girls don't want princess costumes for halloween (one of my dd's was darth vader last year lol!!). Would the BBBo be a waste? I suppose I could always get them different costumes for halloween, but it would be neat for them to wear them to mk.

Any thoughts would be MUCH appreciated!

Thanks!!

P.S. What's the concensus on getting dresses at the BBBo? I've heard the quality is better at disney itself than through the disney store, so I was planning on buying them down there anyways. What does everyone think??

Hello. Speaking as the Mom of a four year old too I would say it would probably be better to wait until the the day you all attend MNSSHP. All the plans you have for the first day could be a bit too much for them. We did the castle package for my DD7 and my DD 4 (well 3 then ) and they absolutely love being able to pick out a costume to wear and having their hair and make up done to go to MNSSHP (my 4 year old was waving to people with the whole royal wave thing LOL) I think it was much more exciting for them . We then did dinner in Magic Kingdom at Liberty Tree Tavern before heading out for the festivites it was a fun night and my daughters loved it. So yeah I would say wait.Make sure you bring your camera to take lots of pictures and have fun :)

First, Congrats!!

I have a dd4.5 and a dd4.5 months right now, and I can tell you I wouldn't try to cram too much in when the older one would be upset if it got cancelled at the last minute. Everything will take longer with an infant.

I wouldn't go the day you arrive , it would be better to get an early morning slot then they can walk around all day dresses up! Also, you might want to make reservations EARLY! We couldnt get a slot when we were at WDW and we were there 7 days!

Oh my gosh BEAUTIFUL children and outfits.

I would vote for doing it on a Mickey Party night as well!

I vote go the night of the party. The dresses from the disney store in my opinion are just as nice as the ones from disney. They just have different styles so it will depend on which style you like the most. Your dd's don't have to dress as a princess either they can dress as what ever they want and have fun w/ it especially for the party.

Checkout the link in sig for more info and lots of pics including some ideas on places to get costumes.

Have a great trip!

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. It seems like it will be better to wait. I guess I'm anxious to see them get "done up," but trying to fit too much in for the first day probably isn't the best idea. I was able to make a reservation for the afternoon of the halloween party afterall, so I think that will be much better.

Thanks again!!
