We are going to Orlando in April and want to spend one night near Sea World. Does anyone have any room recommendations for a Hotel near Sea World. I would really appreciate your info.

Thanks

We're going in March and have reservations at Residence Inn. I have read good things about it here. Depends on how much $$ you're willing to spend. I got it for about $150/night for a 1-bedroom suite AAA rate. Sounds like there is a queen bed in the bedroom and a pull-out sofa in the living area. I have also heard good things about the Renaissance and Hilton Garden Inn which are both close by, but the research I did found them to be more expensive.

After our Disney cruise last month, we had some extra time before our flight home and we drove back to Orlando and cruised around a bit. We decided to drive by the Residence Inn to see where it was. Well, we all had to go to the bathroom...so we ended up going in to use their restroom. So we walked around and looked at the lobby and the pool area. It was all very clean and nice. There is also a free breakfast buffet every morning. You may want to check out tripadvisor.com and read some reviews. Mostly the buffet got good reviews there, but there were some folks who really disliked it. I guess it depends on how picky you are for a free meal!

I've also been researching over the internet trying to find a moderately priced hotel with a GREAT pool area for my kids near Sea World. I welcome all suggestions please!!

We have stayed at Sheraton world which is 10 minutes walk across to Sea world adequate for 1 night(or longer). Sheatons own website for April $99+tax but look elsewhere last when we stayed in 2002 found a rate of $49+tax booking thru an agent here in UK.

the Renaissance is across the street. It use to run special on the weekend - it is a business hotel so during the week it has business - but on weekends and holidays it did have some nice sales.

across the street (the other street) from SW is HGVC. you are willing to sit through one of their timeshares pitchs - then you can get a good deal from them. (insist that the place you stay at is HGVC at SW - they are selling the other one HGVC at ID - so that is where they want to put you)

go over on tug and get an owner referral

for any of these places

Horizon's by Marriott
