My best friend and I are going to The World in September on a short "girls-only" vacation. This is very last minute planning for me and I've picked some restaurants I've never eaten at but had always wanted to try however I would really like your opinions on them.

If you have any suggestions as well, I would be greatly appreciate them.

Just so you know, I'm a big fan of character dining and my friend has never been to Disney World.

Ok here is the plan:

Arrive THursday morning - Visit Magic Kingdom - dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern

Friday - Visit Epcot - dinner at Le Chefs de France

Saturday - Visit MGM - breakfast at 1900 Park Fare ( I want a nice big breakfast here as MGM doesn't have a lot to offer in my opinion when it comes to food)

Sunday - Visit Animal Kingdom - breakfast at Ohana's (a little iffy about this on)... please help.

Oh and just fyi, I'll be on free dining.

I looking forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks!

Why not try breakfast in the Animal Kingdom when you go on Sunday, we went last year and we really enjoyed it. We had an 0830 ADR, went into the park before opening, we had a bit of a wait when we got there, but it wasn't bad. They were just opening and the food was good and fresh, good variety, aside from the donuts and yogurt, the offerings seemed kinda "country". I highly recommend this place, and at least you'll already be there...

If you feel the need to get to the parks early, I might avoid the 'Ohana breakfast on your AK day. Since AK tends to be a park that's more "alive" in the morning AND since it doesn't necessarily take up a whole day, you might want to plan for a dinner that evening instead.

I know you said you liked character meals, but you could always have dinner at 'Ohana's (although I think that's two credits, so that might not be a possibility).

sounds good - i would suggest boma for a great and interesting buffet - plus the animal kingdom lodge is beautiful and fun to walk around in after dinner (or jiko is great too) - you can go out on the porches in back of the hotel and watch the animals

Currently O'hana's is one credit. I've had dinner there and know people that have done breakfast there. From the sound of it the dinner is better.

I think economically it makes more sense to take your dinners free and pay out of pocket for breakfasts. You get WAY more at sit down meals than at character buffets which are cheaper anyhow.

I would suggest:

Arrive THursday morning - Visit Magic Kingdom - dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern

Friday - Visit Epcot - dinner at Le Chefs de France

Saturday - Visit MGM - Get the standards for lunch or pay for BOMA breakfast buffet (better IMHO)
Dinner at Ohana - you won't regret it.

Sunday - Visit Animal Kingdom - breakfast at Ohana's - IMHO the best breakfast on property - if you will be in Disney for dinner still, I recommend going to another restaurant around the world showcase. Maybe Italy or Le Cellier if you can get in.

HTH!

Oh and just fyi, I'll be on free dining.

Ohana is 1 credit. Not 2. Ohana dinner is way better than Ohana breakfast. But the breakfast is tied actually with BOMA which has more options and I agree would be cool on your AK day. I think it's like 14.99 or 17 pp so it's cheap too. Just pay and go to dinner ;)
