Need Resort Switch/FP advice

I have a room only and 5 day hopper passes purchased separately. I am an RCI member and am trying to get a DVC resort. What I have been finding available through RCI is in a 6 week period. My fps will be chosen 60 days out. If I am able to get the DVC resort and drop the Room only reservation, will I lose my fps?

Your FPs will be fine if you switch resort accommodations given the circumstances you describe.

I see in my MDE that I can cancel. I can do that without losing anything, correct? With the IT/MDE problems this past couple of weeks, I'm almost afraid to do anything, lol. I'm originally from Augusta.

I just want to remind myself of your facts... you have FPs booked now because you're already past your 60 day window and you're switching resorts? If that's the case, you'll be fine - nothing will happen to your FPs.

Thank you! Yes I have room only so the resort is not attached to the tickets. Just want to be sure. I may give MDE a couple of days before I cancel. I just got the phantom ADRs to go away.
