I have a conference at the Caribe Royale 9/25-9/27. That time of year I'll only be able to catch Fantasmic and Illuminations, but DW and DS's are going to fly down for the weekend with me.

I need a good deal on a rental car for this time period. Any codes or specials?

BTW, I am a member of Emerald Aisle, but haven't used it yet.

Have you tried using these codes - Entertain, FVG, FISH or MCC on Dollar's website? Those have supposedly been returning good prices on rental cars as of late. Also try the Mousesaver website.. www.mousesavers.com. They have a lot of good codes as well.

Good Luck.

FISH and MCC at Dollar return some great discounts on weekly rates (I am using them in Nov), but the should also work for shorter periods. Also try: FLTVL, FVG and KISS.

I tried getting online quotes from several places before finalizing a reservation. Also, check back weekly. Rates can change without notice and sometimes you can catch a lower rate and save money.

Mickeymikey did that include the taxes? I got an ICAR from dollar using the entertain code for 125 then with the rest added on its 164.18!(ICAR is an intermediate car) mine is from sep 21-28.

I have the Emerald Aisle and have used it 3
times in Orlando. The only car I ever got was
a mid-size Pontiac. Gran Prix ? This year I
needed a full size and didn't want to try the
EA again. I went out on a limb and tried
Hotwire. It was so easy and I got a good deal,
I think for my first time using them. I got a
full size everything inc. taxes and fees for
$156.00 for 7 days. It was $22.30 per day and
this was at the airport. It might not work for
you, but it was ideal for us. It's one option
that you might look into. Good luck!

entertain code for dollar is pulling a 112$ base rate for intermediate ......total cost out is 149$

I have amazing luck with Payless. If you just want the car 9-25 through 9-27, total costs (taxes, fees, etc, listed as estimates but usually fairly accurate):

Economy: $39.40
Compact: $41.49
Economy 4 Door: $94.92

They tend to be excellent on the least expensive rentals, but take big jumps as car size and quality goes up. To get these prices, you must use the "internet special" link on their site. The link to this page is:

http://www.paylesscarrental.com/promo/payless_10_jump.html

Those prices are picking up on the 25th, dropping off on the 27th at the same time (two days), the daily rate for more is about $13.25 plus taxes and fees.

If you belong to a wholesale warehouse (BJ's, Sams Club, Costco) check out their websites. I belong to Costco and got a great rate on an SUV for 8 days. It actually beat the Disney Club and any of the travel website specials.

Even though your rental is needed for 6 days, you might be better off checking for the week rate since day rates are usually high, I just got 202 for a minivan for 1 week at dollar using the entertain code, total rental was 253 with the surcharges.I'm sure cars will be alot cheaper if that is what your looking for.

I thought if you rented by the week and brought back early, they changed the rates? Yes, no?

I will probably go with a mid-sized or larger since we will have to deal with car seat and booster seat. I had planned the weekly rental to save $$'s if the rental company would let me.

What is the Entertain code? I mean what letters to use for Dollar. I have the Entertainment card.

If you rent on-line at the dollar site when you put in your dates below that is a spot for a discount code just put in the word entertain.

I don't know if you will be charged a early return fee, we have used a car for 6 days and were charged the week rate. Can you read the 'rules' on the site? Or just call dollar at the 800 number and ask them.

disneydenise

the "entertain" code has nothing to do with the "entertaintment" book......

but it seems to be a good code and it has been honoured by dollar at disney

Thanks for the entertain code. I got the car down another $16 so that 's a breakfast in my book. You guys are the best as always.:D
