Will be on the Fantasy 4/27! Woohoo (jumping up and down here). Just he husband and I here. He doesn't want to rent a car and I didn't really want to spend 300 bucks on transfers. We are staying at the airport upon return but have not decided on the port hotel the day before departure.
DH suggested Uber stating he saw the rates were about $46, but I am not that thrilled about uber.
I think I will book the DCL bus back to the airport, but really need recommendations for pretty early morning (9am) from airport to port...

Thanks in advance!! Will also take any advice on hotels at the port for the night before.

Have read some nightmare reviews of transportation provided by hotels, which was what I initially planned on in the beginning...

We used goportcanaveral.com to book our hotel and transports(before and after cruise) and were very happy with them. We are using them for our next 2 cruises. We stay in Orlando, so can't rec any PC hotels

Thanks for the quick response. So you arrive in Port Canaveral on the day the ship leaves? I want to be there as early as possible :-)

We stayed at Homewood Suites in PC before our last cruise. It's the newest hotel in PC and was very close to the port. They offer a shuttle to the port in the morning, but I wouldn't recommend it unless the Fantasy is the only ship docked that morning. When we used it, the dropped off the Carnival passengers first and it took forever. There is uber in PC which was quite inexpensive as well. We use Park Ave. Limo to get from MCO to the port, but it doesn't sound like you are interested in a private car service.

Thanks for information! Especially the shuttle warning. I am interested in a car service, but have toyed with the idea of the snooze, cruise deals offered by Port Hotels. I think we will definitely use Uber to go from hotel to port. Looking into Park Ave Limo, thanks for the recommendation. Assume you liked Homewood Suites?

Homewood Suites was fine. Comfortable room, friendly staff and decent breakfast in the morning. For one night, it did the trick!

We flew in the night before our cruise and then we were picked up at the hotel shortly after 11am the next morning and arrived at PC shortly after noon. They had just started open boarding, the line to get checked in was only about a 5 min wait. We paid around $270 for hotel(included breakfast for the morning) and all transports. We are a family of three, had a room with 2 queen beds at the Marriott at Lake Nona. For just the Disney transport alone it would have cost us $210, so the package deal was much better.

This is certainly worth a thought, thanks!

Booked a fly snooze cruise package through GPC and cost me and my dad $165 with taxes and will include all transfers and breakfast (continental) morning of. DCL transport would be $140 without the hotel room, breakfast or transfer to the hotel.

Do you mind if I ask where you are staying?

We're staying at the Clarion at the airport. May not be as nice as the Hyatt, but will serve our needs. And is much cheaper in price.
