Need Recommendations for 2 Bedroom or Bigger, Please

We have 3 to 4 adults and 3 kids going to DW in January. It will be me, my husband, our three girls, and we are taking along my husband's crippled 66-year-old uncle (this will be his dream trip) and my mother-in-law. We will be paying for the room(s), and for us to do so, we really need to watch our expenses. I am undecided as to whether we should get two cheap hotel rooms or a 2-bedroom of some sort. We need at least two bathrooms. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!!!!

Hotel Kingdom has some great rates at Cypress Pointe and Cypress Point Grand Villas. The rates I believe are $66.-$88.

You could also try going over to the DVC rent boards. You could rent a 2 bedroom villa at OKW in January for under $1000.00 (about $110.00/ day for Sun- Thurs. and $220/day for Fri and Sat) for 1 week and be right on Disney property. That would be paying $10.00/point to rent for that time period in January. It would include a full size kitchen , 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms living room and washer and dryer. OKW is very spacious and would be much bigger then going to any Disney resort. It is the largest of all the DVC resorts, with the most square footage per room- and everyone seems to find it a delightful plaace to stay. Otherwise, you could probably get an AP discount (not out yet) for AS for around $49-59/ night- but you'd have to get 2 rooms- so, you'd be just about even in the expense department. My vote is go to the DVC rent boards and see if you can find anything.

Disnee Dad Says.................................I would seriously consider doing a timeshare. It burns up 90-120 minutes of your time, but on a 13 day trip you can afford two hours.
TYpically the super special rate is only good for five days, but you should be able to get a 3 bedroom full condo for about $59.00 a night for the 5 nights! We did this last trip, got a 2bed for $49 a night, and ended up with a 3 bed at the same price! The funny part is we are only 3 people!! We needed walkie talkies to talk to each other!! lol

Maybe go timeshare for 5 nights so you can afford Old Key WEst for the last 7 days.

We are traveling with 8 this December and we have a 4 bedroom rental house 3 miles from Disney for $600 for the week. It is beautiful and spacious(pool,kitchen,several bathrooms etc) I think this option is great for large families.

You can rent a 2bed/2bath condo for $59/night and a 3bed/3bath townhouse for $79/night at http://www.closesttodisney.com. Or go to VRBO.com and rent directly from owners. Don't be afraid to rent a house. They are very nice, convenient, roomy and inexpensive. In January you will have low crowds and the traffic will not be a problem.

That sounds like a great deal! We have already booked/finalized our villa for our upcoming trip. It's about 12 mi from WDW and we are paying $525/week. I was looking for 4 bdrms renting for $600/wk or under and couldn't find one as close as the one you speak of. If you don't mind would you please e-mail or PM me the info (website?) for the house you got. I'd like to look at it and maybe keep it in mind to rent for our next Florida trip. Thanks a bunch!
