My daughter is beginning college next week and we are both off later this week. I was looking for some place to do a nice day trip (or possibly an overnighter) within short driving range of Buffalo.
We usually head over to Canada and spend the day at Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Falls but since neither of us has our passports or enhanced license we can't this year. She loves the quaint atmosphere of the shops along NOTL and it's only about an hour or so from here.
I was thinking possibly Amish County or something down by Lake Chatauqua but don't know that area at all.
Does anyone have any ideas?
