Dinner/drinks at sunset overlooking the gulf at The Hurricaine
is nice. Crabby Bill's is good, considered by locals to be a 'tourist seafood factory' I still like it and I'm a local Take a drive about
12-14 miles north on Gulf Blvd to The Salt Rock Grill in Indian Shores. it's worth it! Be sure to make a ressie though.
Thanks for your reply Steve. We have made plans to meet friends one night in Clearwater but we just wanted some ideas for other nights. Can you recommend a water park, go-carting or golf courses?
Water park: Nearest is Adventure Island next to Busch Gardens,
be sure to go on a weekday, as for go carting, nearest good one I can think of is a malibu grand prix off I-275 in Tampa (I think the Fletcher Ave exit or close to it.)
Something else I can recommend in either St Pete's Beach or Clearwater Beach is a boat cruise of the intracoastal waterway looking for dolphins, of which there are plenty along this area. Well worthwhile. A sunset cruise is also a wonderful option, too. Check out the area website www.floridasbeach.com for more info.
Theres a great Irish bar there that serves great Guinness and lovely food.
Sorry but I cant remember its name only that you turn left out of the holiday inn (the round hotel) and keep walking and its on your left.
There was a crazy golf opposite the same hotel, where I played during a thunderstorm / freak storm only had two holes left and as I was winning I wasnt willing to forfeit the game. But i think you were talking about grown up golf.
Thanks so much for your replys. Without go-carting or a water park close by I will be forced to relax. My kids will still have great time but were wondering about outside activities.
