A long time ago I tried this pizza casserole that was so yummy, but I can't remember how to make it and can't find a similar recipe on recipesource or allrecipes.com.

It was made with some kind of pasta, jar pizza sauce, pepperoni, & maybe cheese. I might be missing something, but I'm not sure. I know it didn't have ground beef in it, which is what's in all the other recipes I've seen.

Thanks!

& maybe cheese. MAYBE!!! pizza anything without cheese would never be worthy of the name pizza in my book :rotfl: never heard of pizza casserole before...but it does sound good.

I know what you mean! My kids don't like cheese in anything, so I always have to make casseroles without cheese, then add it after I take their servings out.

Pizza Casserole

1 medium onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 tsp. salt
8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. tarragon (optional)
1 (28 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
1 (12 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
1 (6 oz.) pkg. sliced pepperoni
1 c. cooked sausage, drained
1 c. grated Muenster cheese
1 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Saute onions and green pepper in margarine for 6 minutes. Add salt, mushrooms, garlic, spices and spaghetti sauce to mixture and set aside. Cook noodles according to package directions and drain.

In buttered 9-by-13-inch casserole dish, layer half of the cooked noodles, pepperoni slices, sausage, sauce mixture and cheeses. Repeat layers. Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly. Serve warm.

That's not it, but I don't care! It sounds realllllly good.

Thanks!
