Which moderate would you choose to stay at if you were going on your honeymoon?? We're clueless!! Thanks so much!

We stayed at Port Orlean's French Quarter last year and loved it, however it's closed for renovations right now. I have stayed at CBR and CS also and really enjoyed both - however Port Orlean's was our favorite!

I read somewhere on these boards,I can't remember exactly where that Port Orleans French Quarter will be opening in the Spring. It can be really romantic and my husband and I enjoyed walking around the lake at Coronado Springs.Whatever you choose I'm sure you will have a wonderful honeymoon.

Well, we stayed at CBR on our honeymoon (way back in 1991!), and it was wonderful.

We've also stayed at CSR and PO-R. Currently, PO-R is our favorite...the beautiful grounds, the boat to DTD, and all the animals around the resort are great, and it is very quiet and relaxing. But, part of the reason why we keep returning to PO-R is that it is the only moderate that sleeps 5 (with our 3 kids!).

I hope you have a fabulous honeymoon!

We are staying at CBR in June for our honeymoon. I have never stayed at any of the moderates so I don't have first hand experience. Here is why I picked CBR though. First, we are going on a caribbean cruise for the first week of our honeymoon so we thought continuing the theme would be nice. Why I really liked CBR was because each group of buildings has its own pool and beach on the lake. We are hopefully staying in the Jamacia section which is a little further away from the main pool, etc. Since we are going in June we plan on going back to the hotel to relax so we wanted to have the option of going to a pool that was completely overrun with kids. Although if POFQ was going to open I would possibly consider that as well. I am sure whatever you choice will be wonderful. When is your honeymoon?

DW & I celebrated 19 years of wedded(sp?) bliss at Coronado Springs back in 2000. We would not hesitate to stay there again. Cabanas 8B, 2nd floor, lake view. Very nice! The landscaping & the Dig Site make this our favorite resort (so far). Have fun deciding. :D

We've only stayed at CSR, of the moderates, but I would recommend it, b/c it is pretty quiet and adult-oriented. Because it's a convention hotel, you will see a lot more adults around than kids, which we approved of :)
Cheers!

Well, we stayed at CBR for our honeymoon and went back just a year later and stayed at POR. We really enjoyed CBR for our honeymoon. We booked a standard room and they upgraded us to a king room. We stayed in Jamaica and loved that location, especially walking over Parrot Cay to Old Port Royale. The piped in caribbean music always put us in the island mood. Loved it!!

Then, when we went to POR, we stayed in the mansions and really loved that place. Between the two, you really can't go wrong if it's your honeymoon.

POFQ, in my opinion, would attract more families as the pool is very kid oriented. We were going to stay there with our 2 boys this November but we were upgraded to Yacht Club because of the renovations.
:)

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

We spent our honeymoon at PO-FQ and absolutely loved it. We had a corner room with a king bed and a view of the river and the golf course.

We have stayed at both CBR and CSR and loved both! CSR would be my choice. We loved CBR's tropical feel, but since we are doing half of our honeymoon next May in the Carribean, the other half will be at CSR. We thought the opposite of you, since we are doing Carribean for the first half we wanted something different for the 2nd half. :) After staying at CSR last June, we fell in love with it. It gives you the joy of staying in WDW and feeling like little kids, but the adult, romantic atmosphere you want on our honeymoon at the resort. We took long walks around lake, late night swims, even went to the salon/spa. We loved the food court at CSR where as the one at CBR during our 2000 visit was average but they probably changed in the last few years. We had an amazing time.
As for either section of PO, I just don't feel that vacation feeling when I see pictures and think of the theme, so we just never considered staying there. But in my opinion, CSR or CBR would be great for your honeymoon! Both are fun, romantic and well themed. We celebrated our birthdays at CBR in 2000, and our engagement at CSR in 2002 and we are staying at CSR for our honeymoon next year!
Best of luck and enjoy the planning!:p

I'll be staying at POR for my honeymoon this January. I've never stayed at any of the resorts, so I don't have a first hand opinion, but through all the research I did I was able to make a decision. We're not huge fans of beaches, so CBR didn't really appeal to us. Basically we were deciding between POR and CSR (since POFQ was closed). While the Mexican theme was fun I really enjoyed the pics of the mansions and landscaping they have at POR. I also liked the boat ride to DTD and that they offer carriage rides. There are tons of different sites that info about the resorts that will help you make a decision. Check out wdwig.com for tons of info and ***********.com for lots of pics. Good luck and congratulations!!!
