did anyone have their name spelled wronge on their save the date and contract. Can we sign the contract with it spelled wrong or do i need to wait???

We are having an Intimate (Escape) wedding. My fiance' goes by his middle name, but for legal matters, he obviously has to use his first name. Then, I moved to what will be "our" home after we started the process, but before we got our contract. I just emailed my WC and asked what I should do. I was told to sign it as is, as making changes could delay things. Then she just updated everything in the database for corrections and future use. I would just email your WC for clarification! PS...don't us the postal service. I had mine sent with tracking and delivery confirmation to make sure ours made it back by the deadline. The USPS couldn't tell me where it ended up and wouldn't even try to look for it until it was missing for 14 days, despite being sent priority (2-day) mail !! It did finally make it to DFTW and we didn't lose our date, but everything else I do will be going by the big brown van (UPS), as I know they scan everytime a package enters and exits a shipping dock. You can find out where it is at all times !

We were told if anything was wrong in the contract to just cross it out, make the change and sign your initials. If it is your names (under the part you are suppose to sign), I would definitely tell your SM and maybe you can just mark it out and make the changes to save time. Just let the SM know. The names were all wrong on our BEOs and budgets- I don't know how that happened!

thank you girls so much for responding. I am feeling the sress of a wedding and last night we went t sign the contract and df name was wronge so thank you for letting me know. I emailed the planner and hopefully i can still mail it back . i feel so behind. i really want tot start ther eal planning, no more rom blocks or contract ahhh

Funny story:

When we got our contract our names were listed as

Ms Karen Lastname
and
Ms Clint Lastname

We crossed it out and signed it like Steph said and everything is fixed now, but we thought it was hilarious!!
