Need quick info on purchasing a metal detector

1- where would we go to buy one (on a Sunday)?
2- what should we look for in one that will locate wire frame glasses but not cost a fortune? We don't anticipate ever using it again.

DH got knocked silly by a piece of flying plywood while he & a buddy were working on a tree stand yesterday. DH has 12 stictches in his forehead & can't find his $400 eyeglasses.

Can't help with the metal detector, but I do hope your DH feels better soon. That had to hurt!

Yikes! Glad he's ok.
Would a magnet work on the frames? Home Depot sells a big one on a handle (like to pick up nails in the grass etc.)
You could offer some neighbor kids a couple bucks to crawl around the yard to find them.
