Need quick info on DCL pins

I am going to give a fellow employee $50 for DCL pins. They will be on vacation 2 weeks, with 4 or 5 days on DCL.
Anything special I need to know?
Does she need to have the pins in her checked luggage? Will she have any problems with pins in her luggage?
Any advice is appreciated!

I just went on the cruise, and I always carry my jewelry, including my Disney pins.

No one questioned me, either at Customs or the airport.

I gave her the $50. She said, "Do you want me to spend all that?"
I told her she didn't know what an addict I was.
So I will be hopefully wonderfully surprised when she returns! I told her I wasn't picky -- anything would do, even in multiples. But esp watch for Halloween themed pins.
these will be my first DCL pins.
