:cool1: We will be leaving in less than two weeks and I will be booking our trip today ! ! :cool1: Last night though, DH and I were thinking maybe we should try to add the Water Park option so we could do that if we have time, we are interested in DisneyQuest (though it is not a big priority) and would like to try to do DTD and PI at night if possible. Only problem is we only really have 5 nights/6 days there. And we don't want to feel too rushed in the parks. We already have tickets to MNSSHP on Thursday night.

Would this be a reasonable thing to do? Or would it be silly? Dh also really wants to try to take a surfing lesson at TL, but I can't seem to get a clear answer on whether or not they are even doing surfing lessons at this time of year and if that extra cost includes admission to TL or not. Anyone know??

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

I would highly suggest Disney Quest 1 evening. It will give you a break and is a lot of fun.

do you have very little kids with you? (toddlers or under) is this your first trip? do you plan/hope to return often? (in the next year)

depending on the answers to those questions, my opinion might change.

however just based on the info you gave....i would say it would not be worth the extra money. We were just there for 8 days (not our first trip by any means) and we still found so many things we wanted to do in the parks and at our resort (and other resorts) that we barely had time to do it all. I would have liked to spent more time at the resort pool, but with all the other stuff to do, we never got around to it.

(now if our son was a teen and Disney Quest or some other activity was an absolute priority for him...then we would have accomodated him. But he is 10 and he still gets a trill from the parks.)

my vote would be no.

I would say no too - you shouldn't waste a day at DisneyQuest - it's just not that exciting - The water parks are fun, but many times on 5-day trips the time will pass so quickly you may forget you even have that option

Don't add it now! You can always add that option while you are down there. You will get a better feel for what kind of time you will have once you are there. That way you don't throw away the money unless you will really use it. You may need more time in the parks or even a down day especially on MNSSHP day. If you are getting no expiring passes then go for it because they will be good even if you don't use it this time. With only 5 night 6 day, and MNSSHP, my bet is you won't have enough time or energy. We were going to do TL and BB during our 9 day 8 night trip and only made it to TL. We ended up just doing a day at the resort instead of BB and the kids all took some long and much needed naps that afternoon.

We were at TL and didn't see any surfing lesson so I don't know about that one.

I wouldn't get the option now...I would wait until you get down there if you change your mind. Wait and see if you'll have time for the "extras". When we went on our last trip we were undecided about the water park and did decide to go to TL when we were down there, so we just bought tickets when we got there. Our girls really liked it. The surfing lessons at TL, if I remember correctly are in the morning 6:30-9 and run about $135 a person which includes equipment. Hope that helps! :flower:

To answer some Q's:

It is just DH and I (no kids, yet).

It is our first trip.

And for some other Q's of my own...

What about DTD and PI? Did you find time to do that in the evening, or were you just totally exhausted? It looks like it's about $20-$30 for each of us to get into PI (don't remember just now...), and to add the Plus option to our package would be about $95. Ugh, I just can't decide. But there is a good point in not having a ton of time, and we definitely want to do the parks right. Thanks again!

DH and I did that last time, and it was worth it for us. We love the water parks, and usually go when they open & stay about 4 hours. Then you still have the rest of the day to go to another park. Clubhopping at PI is a blast, although it's hard to get motivated after an exhausting day at the parks! We usually only go 1 night. As far as Disney Quest, we've never been & I'm not even sure what it is. We usually just add up the separate costs and compare that to the tickets that include the extras, and see if it's any cheaper.

I have the option on our plan. At the time we got the whole shebang, as the cost did not seem like it was too much per person. SO far, we have not scheduled anything else but the parks, and will probably not use it.

PI is fun. The 2 clubs I would recommend are the Adventuers Club and the Comedy Club. They have a special where you can get into 1 club for $10.00 for the night. That would mean you couldn't club hop but each show at the above clubs are different. You could pick 1 club and stay there. I would highly suggest them and with the price you could go for a couple of hours and get your money's worth without having to stay all night.

The water parks & more option makes sense only if you are going to PI, water parks, etc. twice or more times. Most of the time PI offers five more consecutive nights for five more dollars when you buy a separate admission, so two PI visits in quick succession count as one for evaluating the water parks option.

The PI one club ticket is not good for Adventurers Club or Comedy Warehouse. One water park fun admission gets you into all PI clubs for one evening.

If you can foresee a second five night six day vacation you could get one 10 day non-expiring pass with water park fun and set aside one day on each vacation for water parks.
