My DH, DS4, and I only have one night in Disneyland with not much chance of returning for a very long time. My son is in love with parades and fireworks (more than rides or other attractions) and its my dream to have him see these amazing new shows from the BEST possible spots.

So, tell me your ideas for the absolute BEST spots/strategies to be front row on the curb for the parade then as close as possible (and centered) to the castle for fireworks! I'm willing to wait as long as it takes to get these spots. We will be there Wednesday September 16th.

Thanks so much in advance!!!

My best advice is to monitor the situation as you are there. My group had an estimate of what time we thought we would stake out a parade spot, but while we were in the parks and walked through the hub it became clear that people were already marking their territory. We preferred to tour the park a little more and then pick a spot near IASW, since those don't require waiting so long. On a very busy day, we got a front row spot near IASW about an hour before the start of the show. If you are looking to be in front of the castle, you will probably need to be there sooner than that. I wish I could say with certainty where you should go and when, but it will need to be more of a "judge the situation as it occurs" thing.

Ok, thanks for the advice! It sounds like getting a good spot in front of IASW is a better possibility than in front if the castle. I hope it's a good view for the fireworks to! We'll give it a try

Thanks again :)

We watched the parade and fireworks from the train station, where you exit or enter. The view was amazing. We could see all the way down Main Street with a good view of the castle, the Matterhorn, and the whole of the street.

This sounds wonderful! How early did you have to get there for this spot?

That is where I was thinking of also! Then you're at the head of the pack flooding out of the park. However, I would only go for that spot if you plan to leave right after, because I cannot imagine fighting your way back towards the castle!

When we were there last night, the train station and 90+% of main street and the hub were already staked out a little after 6:00!! Sorry, but for us, with only a limited time at the park, it made no sense to lose a couple of hours park time just taking up space on a curb. Especially since the lines for the attractions are so crazy long this week at DL.

But hopefully the crowds will have died down considerably by then.
