Need prayers, Pixie Dust, whatever you have on hand!

Please keep my friend Michele, her husband Tony and especially their 4 y/o son, Kenny, in your thoughts. Kenny is in the PICU battling a nasty lung infection and he's having a particularly tough time. He was born 17 weeks early and spent many months in the NICU. His twin only survived 2 days. The last four years have been a constant battle to keep this little guy healthy. He struggles with hearing loss, lung infections, CP, autism, seizure disorders, speech delays, inability to swallow and probably many other things I can't think of.

This is a family that applied for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and made it to the final 3 last year (they have a total of 7 children in a 1400 square foot house that has mold issues) only to lose out to another, equally worthy family in a neighboring community.

In my opinion, Kenny and his family should be visiting GKTW at some point soon. I just have to figure out how to nominate him for a wish.

Anyway, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers (if that's your thing). They can use all the help they can get.

Thanks.

Definitely keeping them in my thoughts and prayers. Sounds like they've been through a LOT!

As far as the GKTW thing goes, I read that a lot of the nominations come from the kid's doctors. So maybe you could have a talk with Kenny's doctors? See what they know? Couldn't hurt to ask.

I don't know how my post got ahead of yours.......:confused3
Oh, no! It's started again!

Thoughts & Prayers

Thanks all! I've told Michele of your support and she is extremely grateful. Kenny's week has been quite a roller coaster. He's not quite stable enough to get off the oxygen for very long, but he's clearly feeling better and his personality is coming thru. Michele has been doing most of her updates on Facebook, but here's her blog if you are interested in the backstory: http://mtomecko.blogspot.com/

Keep praying, dusting, whatevering. Every little bit helps!
