Need prayers & PD please...

I can't thank you guys enough for all the supportive posts.

And, to give you an update, I think I got my 'message' from my Grandma that very same night.

I couldn't sleep, and no one else was up, so I went for a drive around 4 in the morning to clear my head. I was just driving aimlessly and wound up a couple of towns over, near my job. I was on a road I travel every single day. I made a left turn and saw the strangest thing (for this particular area, anyway). On the other side of the road was a deer. She didn't look toward/follow my headlights, she didn't run away. Instead, she looked RIGHT at me, turned around and slowly walked toward the trees lining the street. When she got to the trees, I noticed there was another deer just standing there, seeming to be waiting for her. They both then slowly walked behind the trees and I couldn't see them anymore. My mind was just processing what had happened when I looked at the clock - it was 5:11. My Grandma's birthday was 5/11. I just yelled 'GRANDMA' in the car at the top of my lungs and started crying, of course! ;) But, at that moment, I knew. My Grandma told me she was okay - that she was with my Grandpa again.

I still fall apart a couple of times a day, and I KNOW tomorrow will be difficult when I have to go back to work. But, deep down inside, I know she's okay and, no, she definitely wouldn't want me to be so, SO upset.

I still miss her and will for the rest of my life. But, I'll be okay, because I know she'll be okay.

Thank you guys SO much for listening and helping me...it really meant more to me than you could possibly know!

My thoughts are with you Amy. I agree that it is great when you get to have your grandparents around until you are old enough to appreciate all they have seen.

I was very fortunate that while I was in college I moved in with my grandma and great grandma and my other great grandma was around until after I graduation high school. No matter how many times I watch the History channel or read about it nothing beats remembering my one great grandma talking about coming over from Sicily in 1917 or my other great grandma talk about the girls basketball team she was on with the only other 5 girls in her consolidated school house. My one great grandma passed this winter at the age of 102 and I'm glad she stuck around long enough for me to grow to enjoy all of her stories. I always found it fascinating when my 80 year old grandma would have to ask "Mom, what would you like for dinner?" :)

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your grandma. She sounds like she was an incredible woman. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
