I'm looking for all you Poly experts! I'm sending clients to the Poly this wed, I have them in a MK view, I have requested the 3rd floor for them. But not sure which building to request, yes I know it's just a request. I have requested the Tuvula building and here's why it's close to the main buliding and boat launch. Is this a good choice? Anyone who know this resort well I want to thanks in adance for your help. Any other little secrets about this resort would be helpful thanks again. Oh anyone know how the weather and crowds are now, this is their first time there and I want to make it magical for them thanks for your help Jill

Different people have different preferences, but Tuvalu is my favorite. :) If you're on the third floor, you see nothing but water from the balcony out. You literally have to stand up next to the balcony, tip your head down and look down there to see any land at all. :) And even then, it is just a few palmy kind of plants. :)

You get an unobstructed view of the Electric Water Pageant (which comes by nightly on the water at 9:00 p.m. unless Wishes - the fireworks over the castle - is going on at 9:00.) You have a beautiful view of the Grand Floridian - it is thisclose, as well as the castle. You can see the entire Contemporary. I'm kind of going on and on here...nothing blocks your view.

It is kind of close to the main building. Not a long walk by any stretch. As the crow flies, it is very near the pool. But, since you aren't a crow you have to walk down the boat dock, cross over and then walk back up. Kind of annoying when the pool is RIGHT THERE, but that's life in the big city, little beaver. The view is worth it!!!

If I had my pick of any water view, it would be Tuvalu. :)

The only little secret I know isn't really a secret. :) In the big pool, they play Polynesian music under the water. If the people you're sending are adults, they might prefer to go to the quiet pool, which is just a wee bit further than the main one. Fewer kids at the quiet pool. :) They play polynesian music at the quiet pool, but not under the water.

They have coke machines in the buildings ($2.50 each) and Coca-cola products are sold all over Disney...so if they prefer Pepsi products, have them stop and get some or ship them some. :)

I agree with the above poster I love Tuvalu. Make sure they get a adr at 'Ohana. That is one of my favorite restaurants. Also, if they want to go to Epcot we like to walk to ticket & transportation from the poly. I think it is quicker to do it that way, rather then catching the monorail then changing at ticket & trans. You must be a great agent, you seem to really want their vacation to be special.

thanks so much! I guess I picked good for them! Can you see the castle well from there? thanks again for all your help Jill

I have Ohana's for them. Thanks for the compliment, I went to their house yesterday with park maps and the poly map and spent 4 hrs going over hour to tour the parks and the resort. I love it! I made them a great spreadsheet, and a sheet with all their ADR's on it. I'm hoping they have a great time! I will call them on their trip to check in to see how things are going and I have some surprises planned for them as well! Thanks Jill

Another vote here for 3rd floor Tuvalu. The view of the MK and the water is fabulous!!!:thumbsup2

Ahhhh, Tuvalu. We stayed on the 1st Floor there, Lagoon View. So nice not to have anyone walking past your patio (or balcony). A little more convenient to the Great Ceremonial House, but Tahiti has slightly larger rooms and twin sinks in the bathroom. Aotearoa also offers Lagoon View rooms and is most covenient of the 3 to the GCH and resort monorail.

If we were allowed to tell you here how to google a certain web site, you would have almost all of your answers about the Polynesian answered with pictures of each longhouse and the views from each!:goodvibes
