for a 3 night trip with my parents. (NON PARK TRIP) Mom has chronic leukemia, (just diagnosed), and is just getting it under control with meds that she just started. Therefore, her "tolerance" for noisy, smoky places (i.e. Jellyrolls) isn't great. This trip is just myself and my parents. They have been wanting to see my "timeshare" for the last few years, but mom wasn't feeling great and we didn't know what it was til now.
We did take them to HH a few years back for their 50th (which they LOVED), and they have since expressed an interest in my DVC home(s). I planned this trip for a stay at AKV, because I think it's such a unique and special place to share with my parents. I also think there's enough to do right there. I figure one morning we'll have breakfast at Boma (yum), and one night dinner there, one night dinner at Jiko.
One afternoon/evening I'd like to take them over to the BW to do just a little walking (mom isn't great with that either, but not considered "disabled" - it's more an energy level thing) and maybe have dinner in Spoodles or Big River Grille or Flying Fish.
Okay.....now regardless of mom not being herself (and hopefully by then she will be), my parents are AWESOME people to go away with - they like to do as much as possible even if it wipes mom out
- she's such a riot that way. So.....if after dinner they are up for something, what is there to do? I think DTD is going to be too much walking at the end of a day for her. Are there any lounges that stand out? Can we go to California Grille's lounge and maybe out to the roof to see the fire works even if we don't dine there? I'm thinking of Cirque Du Soleil one night, but that leaves two after dinner nights open.
Any suggestions would be great. I can't begin to say how happy I am that my mother is responding to this medicine and I just want to do something alittle special now that she's "back"!
TIA
