So I booked a trip for 3 of us, now my 16yo wants to come. I wish he would have changed his mind a week ago when I booked it >:(. I booked us a suite in AofA, well the young prince doesn't want to stay in AofA. Honestly, the cabins would be cheaper so I am considering moving us. BUT I am still toying with the idea of getting an AP. Can any of you AP holders tell me how much a cabin or 1 bedroom villa would cost 9/25 -10/1? I called Disney and they said there aren't any AP discounts yet but that isn't what I asked, I asked if he could tell me how much an RO would cost an AP holder if I booked now. Also, do they give AP holders any discount on the meal plans? What kind of discount do you get a F&W? That is the main focus of my trip, lol.

Flights are a little more expensive than they were when I booked but not too bad. I am trying to get this nailed down and he has been told, once I buy him an airline ticket he is not able to change his mind.

AP discounts aren't out for September yet. I believe they only go through the end of June right now. So a RO rate would cost an AP holder right now either the rack rate or whatever discount you can find that's currently out. AP holders don't get a discount on dining plans but most table service restaurants get 10% off (the list is on the website). I don't think you would get sort of discount at F&W booths but you do get 20% off merchandise.

Thanks! So would I be better to book an RO and then wait and see what kind of AP discount comes out?

If you're flexible where you want to stay then sure, wait for the AP discount. Otherwise book what you want now and you might be able to change over to an AP rate when they're released. They only have a certain number of rooms available under the AP discount so you're not guaranteed to get a AP rate on the resort/room type you want. And I know certain resorts are sometimes excluded from the discounts.

There's no way of knowing what future discounts will be. AP discounts are out through June (I think) so until they release discounts through August, the only discounts are the ones currently being offered to anyone else.

No discount on dining plan. AP holders get 10% off at many TS locations (sometimes more or less, sometimes only at dinner or lunch), no discount on food or beverages at F&W and currently not at any QS locations. There is a 20% merchandise discount.

If moving your reservation is cheaper even without AP discount then I say go for it (the rate will only go down from there if an AP discount arises).
