I know I have read about people on the DIS packing outfits in ziplock bags. I just can't seem to find that thread!

I really want to pack that way because it would make getting my kids dressed in the morning a lot easier! Has anyone ever done it for winter clothes. I am just wondering how to pack that way when we might be wearing jeans, sweat shirts etc. We are going Dec16-Dec 23rd so the weather is totally unpredictable and I know we will need to pack a little of everything. Also what size bags would you suggest using. Thanks for any advice!!

Instead of ziplock bags, I purchased packing cubes (the eBags brand). They're made of cloth and mesh, and are very durable. They come in small, medium, or large sizes, in a variety of colors.

I packed in gallon zip lock bags for our Christmas trip last year just for the kids. I could easily fit a pair of socks, underwear shorts/capris and shirt in bag. We had sweatshirts that we wore in the mornings and tied around waist until we needed them in the evenings. Maybe we were lucky but never wore jeans or pants the weather was beautiful. I also packed things that they could easily mix and match as needed. Shirts that could work with maybe two pairs of shorts etc..

It was great for the kids to be able to pull out a bag and get dressed and just add a sweatshirt as they went out the door.
