I need opinions from anyone who has had experiences with these offsite hotels:
Homewood Suites
Residence Inn Sea World
Doubletree Castle
Staybridge Suites
Embassy Suites Jamaican Court

Any help will be appreciated!! Thanks!! :earsboy:

I failed to list the Peabody. It only has doubles available (we like king and queen) and will be $200 more to stay compared to the others. Is it worth it? Thanks!

We stayed at the Embassy Suites Jamaican Court for a couple of nights before we started our official honeymoon at the Grand Floridian and it was beautiful, clean and the service was great.

I know it's not much but hope it helps!

My family and I stayed at the Homewood suites and we loved it!!! :cheer2:
We have 4 kids and there was more than enough room for all of us. The housekeeping was outstanding, complimentary breakfast was always good (and saved alot of $$) only possible neg. was the pool was very small but we only actually spent 1-2 hours in the pool and we were the only ones using it at the time. I highly reccomend Homewood ans we plan to stay there again.

Also we got a great price 87$ a night.... can't beat it
Good luck

We stayed at the HOmewood Suites in Kissimmee twice and had very good experiences. Unfortunately, they have changed ownership and I don't know about them now. Now know as "The Palms Hotel and Villas." THe Homewood Suites in Orlando doesn't have a stellar reputation (based on what I have read here on these boards). Sorry I can't be more help................P

I've always had good experiences with Residence Inn in general. We stayed at the one near Disney (on Palm Ave) and thought it was wonderful. SO, while I haven't stayed at the Sea World location, I would consider it a very safe bet. (in fact, we've been at 4 other Marriott's in Orlando--dh is a frequent stay with them---and all have been very pleasant. The times we branched out to other off-site hotels, we dearly wished we had stuck with Marriott).

We have stayed at the Homewood Suites in Lake Buena Vista. We had no complaints whatsoever. The hotel was very clean and well kept. The pool was just a regular pool but nicely landscaped and always clean. The free breakfast was nicer than at a lot of places because they included hot items and had a wide variety of drinks to choose from.

If we stay offsite, we always stay in the Lake Buena Vista Area. We find it very easy to get to all the attractions and there are lots of restaurants in the immediate area.

We have been inside the Doubletree Castle (just to check it out). DH didn't want to stay there because they only have regular hotel rooms (no family suites like at Hawthorne, Homewood, Embassy, etc.) Other than that, we would surely stay there. It was a very nice hotel.

We stayed at the Staybridge Suites and would highly recommend them. Clean, kitchen w/ full fridge, separate bedrooms and bathrooms, free breakfast in the morning... it can't be beat. One is very close to Downtown Disney in Lake Buena Vista. Check it out!
