Hey, all! I'm planning a Disney World trip for this January with a group of my friends. We range in age from 18 to 35 (though we're a bunch of big kids at heart), and the total group is going to consist of anywhere from four to twenty people. Some of us have been to Disney World once or twice, others have never been at all. I've been trying to get our Table Service meals planned out based on which parks we'll be in on each day, and here's what I've come up with so far:

Thursday, 1/1/09 - Animal Kingdom - Yak & Yeti, Dinner
Friday, 1/2/09 - Magic Kingdom - Cinderella's Royal Table, Dinner
Saturday, 1/3/09 - Epcot - Coral Reef, Lunch; Rose & Crown, Dinner
Sunday, 1/4/09 - Hollywood Studios - Sci-Fi Dine-In, Lunch
Monday, 1/5/09 - Epcot - Restaurant Marrakesh OR Teppan Edo, Lunch

So, what I'd like from you, oh wise DIS Diners, are any opinions, recommendations, tips or tricks you might have based on the above list. Is there one restaurant I've chosen that I should avoid at all costs? Have you figured out a surefire way to obtain waterside seating at the Rose & Crown? Does Teppan Edo totally kick some Marrakesh booty? I'd love to have any and all knowledge you feel you can impart to a newbie such as myself! Thanks in advance!

Sounds like your group would also have fun at Whispering Canyon.

You can't forget Prime Time 50s Cafe :thumbsup2

Would you recommend it over the Sci-Fi Dine-In? We're only doing one TS in Hollywood Studios, and I actually am kind of torn between Prime Time and Sci-Fi. Frankly, I feel like the food would be fine at either place...I'm more interested in which one has the more unique/entertaining atmosphere.

While I love both, if you're looking for atmosphere you have to go with 50's PT. I would also definately recommend WCC @ WL. At both restaurants the servers love to mess with you and you will have a blast, that is, if you can take it!!! :rotfl:

Heh...almost 100% of the people going on this trip are hard-core theatre folks; actors, dancers, singers, you name it. We'd have a field-day with the improv possibilities of the Prime Time Cafe, I'm sure! :rotfl:

for the group you are describing, i would go with 50's...the food is pretty good and the atmosphere is sooooo much fun!

did you mention theater people?? haha just read that, i am an actor too...and going to prime time is like one really fun improv exercise...go to 50's, you won't be disapointed!

While I love Sci-Fi, it's 2 people to a row in a car. Not great for groups. Sounds like your group would have more fun at 50's PTC.

I agree with the others that WCC would be a good choice for your group. I have not tried the new Teppan Edo, but have heard that it's not any better than your local Japanese restaurants. If you like mediterranean/middle eastern type food (and of course, belly dancers) than I would pick Marrakesh :goodvibes

Okay, I think I'm sold on the 50's Prime Time Cafe for our Hollywood Studios day. Anybody else want to weigh in on the Teppan Edo/Restaurant Marrakesh smackdown? (I'm personally leaning towards Marrakesh, if only because the atmosphere seems so cool. But how's the food?)
