Here is the situation. We plan on going Feb 6th-13th 2009. At this point in time there is me, dh, ds(4), dd(15 mos), mom, sister, sil, brother, niece(3). We would like to get a suite but don't have to. What are some suggestions or ideas for resorts? I see people on other threads talking about ASMu family suites but I don't see that as an option on their site. Please help me!!!

To see the family suites, you have to check that little box "Suites" on the left... don't know why it just doesn't come up.

I guess you'll need at least 2 rooms or suites...

CSR has small suites that I never knew about. We stayed in a regular room but absolutely LOVED the resort.

You may want to hop over to the DVC board and think about renting points from someone.... I think some villas (or one big one?) may be better for you.

Did you want everyone to stay together? You have a group of eight plus one under the age of three. I think your only option would be a DVC two bedroom villa (they sleep eight, plus they have a pack and play for the baby).

You might be able to get two connecting rooms (not adjoining, those only are close to each other, they don't open up to each other). But I don't think those would be guaranteed.

We were debating on renting points but still aren't sure. We can stay separate too. It might be nice to have our own room to get a break from everyone else every night.

If we do get separate rooms what resort do you suggest? This will be our "first of many to come" trip to WDW;) I can't wait!!!

I would definitely consider two family suites at All Star Music. Two standard rooms at any resort would be another option. A two bedroom villa at a DVC resort would have the space you are looking for, plus a kitchen and washer/dryer, but the prices can get high. I would price out the family suites, two regular rooms at two or three resorts, and then the two bedroom DVC villa, then see what would be the most friendly with the amount of people traveling and your wallet. :)

How much are the family suites at ASMu? I can't seem to find them on the site.
