;) I would love a few opinions on the following restaurants we are considering for our upcoming trip.

Blue Bayou....already know we love it
Carnation Cafe for breakfast....same thing love it

but we are considering trying the following...would love to hear if you liked these places:
Storytellers for dinner
Vineyard room or Wine Country at DCA...which to pick for dinner
Steakhouse 55 or Hooks point....which to pick for dinner

prices are not as important as quality or ambience. do either of the Dland Hotel restaurants have GOOD food? we enjoy a good steak or fish
I know Napa Rose is great...not looking for that fancy

thanks guys

Seems like a lot of people like Steakhouse 55.

I am planning on Wine Country Trattotoria for our Oct trip. Can't wait.

Heard very good things about the Vineyard room and the Steakhouse. I would go with either of those.

We did dinner at Storytellers and was disappointed. Food was just "okay" and bill made us want to choke! LOL Very pricey for what we ordered.

Disney-Kim,
Carnation Cafe is our favorite restaurant for breakfast, I am sure you will love it:goodvibes
I would pass on Storytellers for dinner as I feel there are better options in DTD for dinner. We do love their breakfast as we are childless and the ambiance is semi-classy and low key for a character meal - and the food is wonderful. I feel dinner is way overpriced for what you get.
Cafe Orleans is our favorite meal in either park - it really is good with great ambiance and service.
We have had Wine Country Trattoria three times for dinner and enjoyed it every time the bread basket and pimento cream cheese spread they give you is delish. We plan on giving The Vineyard Room a try next time.
And we love Hooke's Pointe, one of my top choices. We have tried Granvilles/Steakhouse 55 twice and thought it to be a step above a Sizzler. I know we are in a minority with opinions here, but maybe we had two bad experiences. You know, Napa Rose is miles above any of the other restaurants and they really are not that "fancy", we have dined there in park attire (not shorts, tank tops or flip flops, but jeans, DL tee shirts, polo shirts). I would try to fit it in - it truly is as fabulous as everyone says.....

Good luck deciding and have a wonderful trip:)

I would not do Storytellers for a great meal. Yet to have one there yet. I would do 55 or Hooke's Point. Trattoria(sp) or Vineyard room if wants something very Californian.

I was only picking Storytellers for our dinner the first night because we are flying in getting there sort of late...will be tired too.

We are not going in the park that first night...so need DD suggestions.
We don't like Rainforest Cafe, ESPN Zone, Blues place, and a few others we have tried in DD.

which restaurants am I not remembering in DD that would be a good dinner?

thanks

Catal, Tortilla Joes, the Pizza place (forgetting the name), La Brea and Brennans ....of the top of my head.

Napolini is the pizza place. Ralph Brennan's is fabulous - expensive but not bad. Anyone know when Bubba Gump's is supposed to open? There's also the Japanese place at PP - not remembering the name right now, we liked it there, not the best we've had but very good.

Definately do Steakhouse 55 over Hook's point, It is so much better.
