I would appreciate any input that you could offer about the Disney Plug and Play Joystick Game System. DS has a Gamecube but I was thinking that this might be something he would enjoy on the trip down. Do your kids enjoy the games? Is the joystick easy to control? Thanks so much for any replies.

We bought one for my DS6 for Christmas. He really enjoys the it, mostly playing the Stitch and Aladding games. It's DS's first game system and he doesn't have any problems controlling it. It runs on four AA batteries. We use rechargeables and they are good for about eight hours of gaming (typically done in half-hour chunks). Regular batteries might last longer. I think the games would look quite dated compared to GameCube games. They look more like original Nintendo games. DS doesn't seem care though and he does play newer games at his friend's house.

We haven't tried it yet! But, I bought on for my ds(turning 8) for our trip down! I am planning on plugging it into my suv's dvd player! I also am wondering if we can plug it into the resorts tv??? :confused3 I also have a portable dvd player! I wonder if I can plug it into that?

We got it for my 10 yr old son for xmas (now he's 11) - and it's a hit. And we keep it in the SUV for travel game purposes...it's perfect for that. It even has a 2 player golf game so his sister every once in a while comes up for air from her teen magazines and plays along.

just bought one for our 4yr old, he love the golf game on it. tried it out in the van for our upcoming drive to WDW and it kept him busy. very easy for him to use. princess:

My DD 11 loves it (so do I).

As long as the resort TV has A/V jacks then you should be able to play it there.

We love this thing.
The golf, and the fruit game (sort of like tetris) are really fun but I am totally addicted to the Pumba maze game. 2 thumbs way up.

If this appropriate for a four year old? I think I'd like to get this for our girls. They really like playing the pacman one, although the 4 year old isn't too good at it.

We bought one at Christmas also. My DSs (6 and 3) both play it. Of course, the 3 year old doesn't completely "get it" but still loves to play. We have used it in the car on the trip and it's great!

Where do you buy these games at. I have 3 boys who are reallly into games. This would be great for the ride down!!!

I know that Target has them. They are similar to the joystick games like Pac-man and that sort of thing that is really big right now. All it is is a joystick that plugs into your TV, and you use batteries.

Here is what it looks like:

I got mine at target.com
I have seen them at gamestop also.
Target and Walmart are supposed to have them but I was looking to buy one for a gift recently and they were sold out both places.

Thanl you! I think this games would get the boys excited about going to Disney!!!!
