Do you all think these would be cute as place card holders?
Placecards.jpg

I was thinking of having them set-up on a table when guests entered to use to find their tables. I would use the ornament hook to tie ribbon with a card on it with the family name and what table they are assigned to.

Hard to totally envision when they are hanging from a tree branch, but I am trying to be creative. :goodvibes
I wanted something different and I got a really good deal on them.

I just hope they stand-up on their own! :rotfl:

Do you think this is too much? I don’t want it to come off as tacky.

I love that idea. You know if they don't stand up on their own, you could hot glue them to small mirror circles I bet. Would be pretty. They were a great deal. I got some for my Princess tree I am putting together. Good job.

:cool1: That is such a cute idea!! And very original. I think it would work well and I wouldnt' think it'd be tacky at all. And it's a great little gift for everyone!

What a great idea!!!! that is wonderful!!! Not tacky at all... from the looks of them, they look like they'll stand up on their own... if not, gluing them to a mirror is a great idea also. Good luck and let us know how they turn out!! :sunny:

Thanks y'all! I am just very nervous about all the planning. I want the day to be magical for everyone!
Thanks again. :wave2:

I love it - where did you find them?
I got them at the Disney Store online in the outlet section.
They were marked done to $4.99 for three, but with the three extra discount codes I entered (thanks to you all) the price was slightly under $3 and there were no charges for shipping!
For less than a $1 a piece I thought it was worth a try.
I just hope none of them are broken when they finally get here.

Just thought of one more idea. If you go to Michael's or a craft store you can get wire and curl it around like a pencil, but it through the hanger and the place card could go on there, and it would stand up.

Ohhhhhhhh! That would look great! :woohoo:
I can't wait to get them so I can try these ideas out.
Thanks again! :wave2:

I rushed right on over to disneyshopping, but they're unavailable now. So now I'm thinking of doing the silver mickey head ornaments instead, but I think I'm going to try to wait for them to be on sale more than 10% off - all of the other christmas stuff is at least 30% off. Plus I can't get the codes to stack, so they were still going to cost me $2 each plus shipping.

Anyway, thanks for the idea and good luck getting them to work out like you want. I think with the mickey ornaments I'm going to put them in small boxes with tissue, then tie a ribbon around the box and tie the placecard to the ribbon. I'm only doing one ornament per couple, so this way everyone will know for sure how many ornaments to take :)

Thanks again!

I went over to the site today when I saw the sale they were having and I was sad to see they were sold out (I wanted to get a few extra).
The Mickey Heads would be really cute! The sales/codes keep getting better, so hopefully you can get an even better deal!
Hope it all works out! If you go with this idea, please post a pic. Sooo cute! :wave2:

i LOVE your idea, Steph! the ornaments are adorable and also a great keepsake for your guests. i love the color of them! and it's always that much sweeter when you get a great deal! :teeth:

Thanks!
Yes! I love the thrill of a bargain! I got the notice yesterday that they were shipped. I will have post a pic when I figure out how I am going to do them.

The ornaments were delivered today and they stand-up on their own!
So happy! They don't exactly go with my color scheme, but they will be pretty in the entrance area.
Just have to make sure none are broken!
Thanks for all the ideas y'all have provided. I will post a few pictures of them when I finish-up school.
Thanks! :wave2:
