Hi,
I started hobby/obsession when I became a Mother a few years back. I do scrapbooks for both of my sons to preserve all of the precious memories, and of course I do scrapbooks for our WDW vacations! Well, now I would like to tackle our Wedding pictures. Any tips/ideas would be appreciated. Also, are there any nice supplies for wedding scrapbooks on-line?

I ended up doing my whole album in THREE BASIC papers - the white rose pattern sold at Michaels, black and whites!

I started out using the girls dress colors, then went back and changed those pages -
I Love the ELEGANT look and uniformity this made in the album -

I also took my time doing it so that I used a LOT of techniques in it not just your favorite of the moment!

So I have mosaics, paper tearing, rimmed tags, all on different pages! It adds enough variety so the focus is on the pics!

THE ONLY pages with color are in the center of the album - I used RED cardstock for pics of DH and I with 56 chevy just to make it pop - it is dh's fav pic cuz of the car lol.

I'm too afraid to scrap our wedding pics. I guess I think I won't do them justice; or we'll look back at them 20 yrs from now & say "what were you thinking" when you did this or that.

I'm just leaving them classic & in the studio album.

Trip pics & everyday stuff will reflect the times they were scrapped. It will be ok to laugh at those later. But I don't want our wedding album to be a future episode of "That 80's Show" -- if ya know what I mean.

Just my opinion.

But I have seen some very lovely wedding scrapbooks. I just don't think I could do it nicely. My style isn't flowery & feminine - the way I think an album should be - the way I would like it to be.

I am doing our wedding pages. I basically decided on a type of paper and color theme that I am using throughout the book. I did choose Bazzill Pinks. My wedding colors aren't really pink but this matched my bridemaids dresses the best. Anyways, I also bought a kit from Clubscrap that is absolutely gorgeous. I am scrapbooking these pictures very carefully. Also, I am spending a ton of money on my pages. I am doing my best to only do a layout that I absolutely LOVE. If you know what I mean.

Here's the link to club scrap and the kit I bought. YOu don't have to be a member to buy the kit. The kit focuses on three colors: greens, yellows and pinks. I won't be able to use the entire kit but I got great ideas from it.

Also, here's a link to my page I did with the kit. I plan to do more but I haven't had time.

good Luck!

Some of the online stores that seem to have a search available for wedding stuff are:
www.dmariedirect.com
www.scrapbook.com

www.twopeasinabucket.com is a good one to buy from but I couldn't find a search on their shopping site. You'd have to go through all their paper, for instance, to find what you're looking for.

Both dmarie and two peas have nice layout areas where you can get ideas.

I will definitely check them out. I am definitely going to take my time with this album. I'm going to keep the album simple yet elegant. Anyway, today is our 7th wedding anniversary and we have looked through our pictures and selected what will go in the album. Wow, does time fly!
Thanks again!
