We have that blockbuster freedom pass and we love all the movies, but the past 6-7 movies we got were stinkers! Any recommendations??

I belong to Netflix, and the last several movies I've enjoyed from them are:

What Dreams May Come (Robin Williams)
Daddy Day Care (Eddie Murphy)
Wrong Turn (horror, a bit gruesome in spots)
Pleasantville (Reese Witherspoon)
Antwone Fisher (Denzel Washington)
What a Girl Wants
The Hunted (Tommy Lee Jones)
The Life of David Gale (Kevin Spacey)
The Pilot's Wife (Christine Lahti)
The Hours (Meryl Streep)

I joined Netflix last March and have seen a lot more movies this way, more than I ever did renting from the store, plus no late fees and no driving to return 'em!! :teeth:

I have to second Antwone Fischer, that was a very good movie as was Remember the Titans, those are the last two we saw recently. I just rented the Italian Job for tonight, heard it was good, just hope it is.

you got to narrow it down for us, just to many answers

Thanks Chatty! Those look good.

And I can't narrow it down, cuz we pretty much like all genres of movies.

We watched The In-Laws last night. I thought it was really funny. Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks played off of one another very well.

I also liked How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

I hope you like The Italian Job, Tiggerlover. We saw it on Sunday night and it seemed flat. I haven't talked to anyone else about it, so I'm curious to hear what you think.

Netflix is wonderful! Right now we have "Sweet Home Alabama", "A Mighty Wind" and for the whole family the"Wallace and Grommit" compilation. I'd recommend all of them!

If you haven't seen X-men 2 yet, I def. recommend that. It was way better then the first one.

I also saw Anger Management over the weekend. That was pretty funny because Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler play well off of each other.

If you haven't seen any of the Lord of the Ring movies, what about renting them? I didn't think I would be into them, but I am now, and I can't wait for the 3rd installment.

Hope you enjoy whatever movies you decide to rent!

If you want to laugh your buns off, rent the Blue Collar Comedy Tour Movie. Jeff Foxworthy, Bill "Here's Your Sign" Engvall, Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White. It's not profane, in fact, it's almost kid friendly. I have the guys at work taking turns with my copy of it and they are all dying of laughter. Give it a shot.

Two of my favorites (oldies, so you may have seen them) are The Princess Bride and Ladyhawk. Also loved Bridget Jone's Diary.

I second the Princess Bride.

Some other favorites...
Dead Again (Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson in a
a terrific mystery.
Lord of the Rings (Both Fellowship of the Ring and the 2
Towers)
Identity (John Cusack, Ray Liotta, great mystery)
The Others (Nicole Kidman)
Chicago
Ever After (Drew Barrymore)
Sense and Sensibility (Emma Thompson)
Galaxy Quest (Sigourney Weaver, Tim Allen, fun sci-fi spoof)
All of Me (Steve Martin, Lily Tomlin)
Almost Famous
Miss Congeniality (Sandra Bullock)

There are so many more, but that's a start!

And I second everything Michelemouse listed.....all great choices!
(I OWN five of them!)

Have you seen "Bruce Almighty" or "Identity"? I've rented these two movies within the past month and thought they were both fantastic (though completely different from each other).
