Hi,

Booking for someone else. I believe they would like a full size SUV or mini van. March 8-15. I know I could go to mousesavers. Just wanted to know if anyone has found a deal.

Thanks in advance,

Lisa

I got the best rate for a regular compact sedan for March 9 to 16 using Budget via the link from our Southwest Airlines ticket purchase.

Your minivan would cost $400 for the week before taxes. A small car would cost $83 before taxes. Any chance you can have two drivers driving two separate cars? That is what we are doing in March.

In any event, the Budget code is U072729. Good luck!

Thanks so much who's your daddy? Smart with the two cars. I'll check if they want to do that with the two cars. Probably not b/c they do Universal and have to pay for parking. But I'll see. Great idea.

Southwest has a Dollar minivan rental for $229. Found it on mousesavers. Direct link to SW. WN419 code.

Thanks again,

Lisa

DW called me after reading this thread.

Previously booked a standard 227 taxes in. Now we have an intermediate 115 taxes in for March break week. March 9-15.
I had to book the car until the 16th go get the awesome rate.

Budget would not let me modify my existing reservation so I went and booked budget via South West

Thanks for the info.

That sounds like a pretty good deal! But we have four adults and two kids. I'm not sure we can fit all of us and luggage in one minivan. Anyone know?

No problem. I tried a whole bunch of other codes for compact/economy cars, but nothing close to the rate I got through Southwest. But I guess the rate is good for small cars and not so good for large cars/minivans.

Who's your daddy?

What if you put your code in the Budget corporate ID box instead of the rate box at southwest. That's where I put it and came up with $73 base ($102?) for compact. Does C ID have regulations at check-in. Would that spot bite you in the butt so to speak? Or is that where you put it orginally? Thoughts?

Boy, that sounds confusing. :lmao: :surfweb:

Good question. I'll go to hotwire to find out.

That is a great deal, thank you. Does it require any type of coupon or is it just a link anyone can use? thanks

I think anyone can use it. If you're worried, just use their computer check in instead of the person representative. It's usually faster for me anyways.

Yup, $73 is what I get when I punch in your dates.

Do they have kiosks like at Alamo, or do you use your laptop? Do you need to join their frequent user program ahead of time?
