NEED MANY prayers!!

My son, 13, went to a friends house this afternoon. They were walking around the block, when 2 men in a van pulled up, and the driver asked if they had drugs. They said no, and the driver said okay, and started to drive off. Then it happened...

He stopped again, got out, and asked them, "You aint got nothin?" The boys didnt. He stole my sons friends hat, and then started beating my son. The other boys were smart enough to get the license number and run 1 block to where my bf was waiting to pick up my son. He flew to where he was, the guy was gone, but my son was lying on the ground in a pool of blood.

He threw him in the truck, and called 911 on the was to the ER. He then called me at work, and I rushed there. My son has: a broken nose, in 3 to 4 places, a concussion, the bone under his left eye, which is swollen shut is broken, and multiple bruises. He is home and resting but we are up with him for the night due to the injuries.

I am BEGGING for multiple prayers for my son. Hes really hurting, and the Vicodin is helping some, but not much. The cop said after he beat my son he went after someone else. Thy know who he is, where he lives, etc., and are looking for him tonight.

GOOD NEWS...as I am typing the cops called and have him in custody!!!

That is just awful! I feel so bad for your son! I hope they catch those creeps before they hurt anyone else.

Did the boys remember what KIND of drugs the guys were asking about? If they're that violent (beating your son until he bleeds) they were probably on something really serious.

FWIW, vicodin does nothing for me, and just makes me annoyed and angry and still in pain. Might want to switch that out for something else, since you say it isn't totally helping your son.

They caught him thank goodness. We go tomorrow at 3 for photos of the injuries, etc. We dont know what they are goin to do about the broken bones yet. We will find out some tomorrow and the rest next week.

Im going to go lay next to him for a while and try and rest. Im setting the alarm to go off hourly to check him. Hes a strong kid, and I REALLY think that saved him.

Before we met, my husband was dating another young lady and walked her to her door. Before they got there, they were jumped by a group of gang members. They literally swung a metal pipe to my husband's head and cracked his jaw in two. Instead of going down, his "fight" took over his "flight" and he stood up to them. They then ran away.

It took a long time, but he is perfectly healed now. They never found the bad guys, but my husband is now stronger because of this attack and is ALWAYS aware of the situations around him.

Also, I was held up at gunpoint (the gun was put to my head) and was told I was going to die. I was not harmed, but the mental pain was with me for years. I am much better now than I was, but the sheer fear paralyzed me and it was a long road. What I needed immediately after the attack was to be near the people I loved.

I must have called thirty people that night, too. Listen to your son and pay attention to both his mental needs as well as his physical needs, which you seem to be right on top of.

You and yours will be in my prayers and thoughts tonight. There IS a light at the end of the tunnel and I hope the bad guys get put away forever.

I heard about only one of them. And my dd had a creep stop when she and her friend were at CCD! He drove around the church 4 times slowly. Then stopped. Asked them if they needed a ride! The dreaded red pick up. It's always the red pickup around here- Can't they find red pickup guy?

How awful for your son. I have a 13 year old boy also and I can't imagine how horrible this is for you and him. My prayers are with you. I hope the put this guy under the jail! What a coward. Your son is very brave. Keep us posted.
