Hi,

Some of you might have read my Vegas report about meeting Jennifer whose a really nice young lady and how we really hit it off well and really like each other. We have been talking daily by phone since our trip ended and are now planning to go back to Las Vegas Feb 11-14 for a Valentines Day weekend trip.

What I need from all of you is to get some ideas of what types of things I should plan. I have never planned anything like this before and obviously want to make sure it goes off as flawlessly as possible.

A ride on the Gondala at the Venician.

You can book these up from even the UK as I was going to give one to my friends for their anniversary present but you have to pick it up the tickets at the venician with the credit card you booked it with so was no good for us me to give as we are not going with them!

Have a great time

Susan

If you want a very special dinner you could go to the top of the world restaurant at the Stratosphere. It is fabulous.
You could have roses already there for her. The deserts are great too :) with chocolate and champaign.
Depends on how "special" you want to make it?

Thanks everyone. Those are some really good ideas. I'm starting to work on getting roses in the room and champaign chilling when we arrive, but after that it's still a work in progress.

A ride to the top of the eiffel tower at Paris to watch the fountain show at Bellagio would be nice. If you are there are a monday you can pay to get into the foundation room club at Mandalay Bay. I have been there a few times and it is a very nice club.

MoniqueU,

Thanks for the heads up about doing the ride to the top of the eiffel tower at Paris and the fountain club room at Mandalay Bay. We will be there from Saturday Feb 11-Tuesday Feb 14.

I second the Eiffel tower! That was great too. I still think you should have the romantic dinner at the top of the world restaurant at the Stratosphere... It was fabulous (food and atmosphere) and you don't have to pay to ride to the top if you have reservations. But if you are thinking of doing it, then get your reservations in now. We had reservations for 7 pm and were able to see sunset and the night lights... VERY pretty.
It takes a bit over an hour (I think) for the restaurant to make the whole circle around so you get to see the whole city. We had drinks first and then dinner. THe food was very good (best prime rib I have ever had!).
Truly was great. Ask for window seating so you can be on the outside, but any view is really ok.

crz4mm2,

Thanks so much. That is so perfect for dinner on one of the nights.

You are very welcome. I think it will be perfect too. Just make sure you call and get reservations :) They were packed when we were there and there were people coming up and asking if they could get in and of course the answer was no. It truly was one of the highlights of our last trip (not cheap though!- but well worth it!!).
Take your camera. The view is spectacular.
I'll look forward to your trip report.

crz4mm2,

I will make sure to post a trip report. I never could have imagined a couple weeks ago when I was originally planning the Vegas trip that anything remotly like this was going to happen. I figured I would go to Vegas, gamble a little, see Mamma Mia and then come home, but trust me I'm not complaining at all.

I want to wait until Friday to book anything because our really nice end of the year bonuses are suppose to come out then and if they really are that nice we are going to stay at the Venetian. I figure where better to stay then the Venetian for valentines day.

I think you are falling for this one :)
Hope you have a fabulous time! And I agree the Venetian for Valentines day would be great!!
Do you like Queen's music? If so, try "We will Rock You" at Paris. It is a fabulous show! I liked it even more than Mama Mia (and I LOVED Mama Mia!).

clh2,

I took her to see that on Tuesday. We were having such a great time together, I really couldn't ditch her and go by myself, so I got a ticket for her as well. Apparently it paid off, since were seeing each other again.

crz4mm2,

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: I think your right because I have had this huge smile on my face ever since I came back and it hasn't gone away yet. Some at work on Friday said that I had a new hop in my step and that something was different about me. We have both agreed that no matter what happens we will remain good friends, but we really want to try and see if we can make this long distance relationship work out. We've talked by phone atleast a couple times a day since we got back from Vegas and we e-mail back and forth as well.

I never thougt of we will rock you but I think the show is no longer playing there, because there is nothing on the Paris Hotel website nor on ticketmaster.com, but keep those great ideas coming.

That's great :) Sometimes love at first sight really works.
Sorry to hear about We will ROck You. It really WAS a terrific show... Dang.
Have a great time! I am sure you will enjoy whatever you get to do, cause you will be with her ::yes::

Hi,

Just wanted to give an update on here I'm at with the planning.

Knowing how quickly some of the nicer rooms in Vegas will sell out for that weekend, I went ahead a booked the Celebrity Spa Suite for the two of us. I also made reservations for 2/12 (her 25th birthday) at Prime Steakhouse (Bellagio) and on 2/13 (our valentines dinner) at Pinot Brasserie (Venetian). I didn't think 3+ weeks out dinner reservations would be so hard to make, so I guess I was lucky to get into these on the dates I wanted, and I know Jennifer will be very surprised and happy with the choices. When we were there last week, we walked by both of these places and she mentioned how much she would like to come back and try them. So now all I have left is dinner on 2/11 (?????) and show tickets for either 2/11 or 2/12.

Sounds wonderful. Are you going to try the top of the world restaurant? You already have two great places to eat, but the Top has a spectacular view :)
(can you tell I loved it?).
I know you will have a great time. Sure wish We will Rock you was still there.
Do you have any show ideas?

crz4mm2,

I'm still working on that. I check to see if anyone was going to be in town and there really isn't anything concert wise going on.

I choose those two places because she mentioned that she would like to try them sometime, so I figure that when we arrive on 2/11 I will let her decide were we eat for that night.
