We are quickly approaching our 180 day window to make ADRs and I have not really given it much thought.
We have a 2 year old, and I thought a sit-down lunch might be a good segway into an afternoon nap.
I figure we will spend one morning each at MK, DHS, and AK so suggestions from those three areas would be good.
Not hung up on character dining - unless it is really reasonably priced.
Also, restaurants with a salad bar would make top billing with my hubby.
We are not on a DP, so if there is a CS that is in the a/c and would be good also, let me know about that.

I look forward to reading your suggestions!!!

Since you said no character lunches, I will say....
MK go to Cosmic Rays and they have some really good selections that your child would like...also adults too..

In AK, Pizzafari has good selections as does Flame Tree BBQ......

In DHS, I am thinking of Prime Time Cafe. Some good selections..

Also because your child is two and under......you could get food at the buffet's without being charged for the child.....

I've seen a lot of people like Cosmic Ray's - we will have to check it out!

We aren't necessarily avoiding the character meals, but she is only 2 so paying $40 each (for DH & me) is a little much. If there are any in the $20-$25 range-ish that are good, we might be up for it.

That's a good thought on the buffets - if we go to a plate order, we would have get her something off the kid's menu - she's a good eater.

We took our son to his first Disney trip when he turned 2 and he loved Crystal Palace. The lunch is about $20 per person and your daughter will eat free since she is under 3. They have a great selection of food and love I love the Salad selection.

most of the character meals are $25 ish ...I think some are like $34.99

but I would do chef mickeys breakfast (contemporary) ($25)..really rowdy and fun for kids..but always packed. and you get the fab 5!!! so its worth it...

crystal palace (MK) cuz of Pooh (and good food) (breakfast and lunch is good-good salads)$25-30

tuskar house $25 breakfast (AK) my fave

I didn't like cosmic rays (MK( philly cheesesteak.but to each their own!..but there's so much to choose from when its just counter services (espeically at MK)...its really what you have taste for..I heard the Plaza has good sandiwches. My mother ate at Columbia House in Mk said it was good.

my son loves the character dining. (he's 1 1/2).

but I think you should try at least one character dining...its so fun...and their buffets,,,so you can eat alot!!

also at DHS my son did well at Sci Fi...but if you sit in a car you will have to sit him in between you and your husband...but my son was fine and we ate fine and we had fun. but I've only eaten at Sci Fi and Hollywood & Vine at DHS..both good. Oh wait I had their pizza at pizza planet...it was ok..nothing to brag about..it filled us up (but I had to buy two pizzas to share with my son)

Epcot: I haven't tried any of the world's restuaruants except the Akershus (in Norway Princess breakfast but that was closer to $40) and I've tried Garden Grill (not my favorite)...Coral Reef is expensive and a la carte..not alot of food on plate...but darn it was good!

But there's so many places I haven't ate yet because I wanted to do all the character dinings...I just did alot of research (rate & reviews on either wdwinfo.com/allears.net) and of course this site! #1.

I don't know how your child mood is in the morning..but I learned not to do early breakfasts...I scheduled my adrs at 9:30/10am....and we ate so much our dinners was at 5:30/6:30...And I just made sandwiches for lunch.

Sounds like Crystal Palace is a fun character breakfast! DD is really into the Pooh gang, so we might have to do that.
The salads will be a big plus - we aren't big eaters to begin with and if it's hot outside we will def not be up for a big heavy meal.
We will stick to lunch - DD is not good at being rushed in the morning - we'll be doing good to get to the park at opening time!

Is there a place at Boardwalk that would be especially good for lunch? We could go there for lunch on the day we start at DHS.

We were at WDW a month ago, and found quite a few places that worked well for my 2.5 year old son. He eats like a horse, so buffets were great with him.

In Epcot, the Biergarten was excellent. The food was good, the atmosphere was fun, but not so loud to keep him distracted. He probably ate more there than any of the adults did :) Sunshine Seasons was also a good choice - we each ordered a meal, and then let him eat off of everyone's plate.

In AK, we did the Picnic in the Park, and thought that was another great option. We've eaten at Flame Tree before and liked it. None of the TS places there really appealed to us.

MK, we went to COlumbia House and really liked it. None of us really like hamburgers, so Pecos Bills and Cosmic Ray's really didn't interest us. They weren't bad, just not our thing. We didn't do any of the TS places there this time - we've been to the Crystal Palace in the past, and liked it.

DHS - no thoughts, sorry. We don't usually spend much time there.
