This is our second visit and we learned from our first that planning can make a difference in how things go. So, knowing that I would like to plan ahead as much as I can.

I just can't remember how to figure out what day to do what. I can't even remember how I figured it out the first time. I know there are days that are better than others for certain parks and some meal reservations (what is the correct disney term for these bookings?) dictate where you go - we are not doing the castle this time so it shouldn't be a big issue. THen there are certain days for parades (my MIL is coming and it is her first time, I want her to see all of the parades) and when we are there this time (Feb 11-18) there are two nights when MK is closed for the princess and pirate party.

So, can anyone help guide me towards deciding on our itinerary? I am sure there are places I can go to find out schedules but I need help just getting my ducks in a row.

We are staying Feb 11-18 arriving on the 11th mid afternoon.

Feb 12 I have booked a pirate cruise for the kids in the morning and the Pirate and Princess Party in the evening.

Feb 13th my daughter will be doing the Adventures in Cooking (maybe with son) and my husband will be renting one of those little boats (alone or with my son). I am hoping to go to the spa for a mini something while my daughter is busy cooking. That takes us to about lunch time.

- I want to see the evening parades for sure. (not sure if we should book meal prior or if there is a benefit. Didn't last time but remember reading about it)
- I don't want a full day in AK - but want to see the LionKing show, maybe take in a few rides and go on the safari.
- We want to go to Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace (not sure of others)
- My husband and I want to go to California Grill for dinner while MIL is with kids at the room.
- Have a 7 day park hopper pass
- Want to do a day of shopping before we come home but the 18th is not an option as we are leaving too early to allow for that. Perhaps part of the day before - 17th.
- Husband would like to stay at the hotel for part of a day here and there
- Kid want to go to the bon fire with Chip and Dale
- Want a bit more time at Epcot this time but only if my husband could do something for part of it with my son - he can only take so much. Is there anything at epcot that they could steal away to?
- WOuldn't mind going to see fireworks the first night - maybe reservations at Ohana with a table overlooking castle? Any other suggestions? Can you see fireworks from chef mickeys and is the dinner good - we went to the brunch last time ??

Thanks for your help = can't wait to see more plans on paper. I don't have any meal reservations and feel like I need to get my act together soon!

Helen...

Meal reservations are called ADR. (Advance Dinning Reservations) and can be made 180 days before your visit.

UG and TGM are good for getting Best Days for which parks. I have used both but prefer TGM.

You have a good start on your planning, you know things you want to do. Once you have the days you will be at which park you can make your ADR's.

Good luck and have fun!
