OK, I need some advice! Sorry for the long post! :wizard:

We are going to Disney World in November. I've been planning our trip and already made ADRs for almost all of the days. However, I'm having a little trouble with the first day and Thursday.

Sunday Nov. 12 - Should we head to EPCOT or Animal Kingdom? The only other day we have left open is Thursday, so we'll visit the other park on that day.

It's Super Soap Weekend, so I know MGM will be crowded (so that's out). But this is also the last weekend of the International Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT = will that draw a lot of crowds? The last official day is Monday. We already saw it before, so that's no a big deal if we miss it.

It's also tentatively the first day of the new Finding Nemo show at Animal Kingdom. Wondering if the first official day of the show will draw larger crowds than usual. If the first show gets delayed to later in the week, we would REALLY hate to miss it.

We don't want to park hop b/c one of our members doesn't have a park hopper ticket. So splitting our days is out of the question as well.

So our first day in the parks - where should we go? EPCOT or Animal Kingdom? We want to make a dining reservation for Le Cellier on our EPCOT day, so we need to make a decision soon. :thumbsup2

Advice please? Help please? :confused3

I would talk the one member who doesn't have a hopper into upgrading to a park hopper....AK closes early every night of the week usually at that time of the year between 5 and 6 pm (even the nights they have EMH they're not open past 8pm....not sure if you're staying onsite at a Disney hotel, if you're not the EMH's don't come into play anyway)....plus, the rest of your party paid for hoppers that they will not be using. If that person upgrades then you could check out how the crowds are in a park and if it seems really crowded hop to another one that day, and also the day you go to AK, you could finish the night off at EPCOT. If that person is having a hard time making ends meet....chip in for the upgrade (if your budget will allow). Parks close earlier at that time of the year, unlike the summer, holidays, and spring break (closing time 11pm - 12pm and with EMH 2 - 3 am) - early November closing around 8 or 9 pm.

Yes go to Epcot on sunday and AK on thursday. Also go to MK on wed.

Yes, we have MK planned for Wed. (and Tues.) and MGM on Monday (hoping that the day after Super Soap weekend will be less crowded).

The rest of us have APs, so we didn't actually have to pay for park hoppers.

We are staying on-site at POP, but are avoiding the EMH parks (and hopefully the crowds).

We'll only need a few hours at Animal Kingdom, so that's no a bid deal really. It is our least favorite park, so we didn't really want to head there the first day anyway. But I don't know.

Any more advice? Thanks for the comments so far! :goodvibes

Hi! Just curious why you recommend the MK on a Wednesday (I'll be there the same week)?

Thanks! :thumbsup2

For Lil ole moi -

The reason we are saying MK on Wednesday is because it is traditionally a slower day. There are no EMH hours and through the week is usually less crowded than on weekends.

Frankly, in November it might not make that much of a difference. Its not like you'll be there in July or Christmas.
