I just started lurking on this board. I've been planning my Fairytale themed wedding since I got engaged at Disney in March. I'm trying to get some inspiration for my invitations. I want it to be elegant and not too over the top, but have some Cinderella-esq touches.
I downloaded a cinderella font, but it has a pic of cindrella with it for all capital letters so that's not going to work. (I did the Waltograph for my STD but I want to do a pretty script for the invitation).
I found some other script fonts, but they don't look right. What other fonts are you using??
Also, what wording are you using for your response cards.
Any pics/advice is much appreciated!

Thanks!

Just an idea but if you want something totally different how about doing something like having a glass slipper presented in a small box (you can buy them as favors) then having the invitation either rolled up in the box next to it or under the slipper.

Also check out a website called dafont.com - you can download free fonts. Theres loads to choose from.

for wording you could do something like:

Our dream come true...

Your Name
and
Your Finace's Name
request the honor of our presence
as we begin our Happily Ever After

Date
Two thousand and ten
at Time

Location
Address and State

We used the wording...

Together with their parents,
Bride
and
Groom
invite you to share their joy
as they begin their happily ever after on
Date
Time
Location.

the Response cards had three different events they were responding to so we went simple and used.

Kindly respond by _____.

Will you be attending...

The welcome breakfast on DATE
yes, number attending ____
unfortunately, no

The wedding on DATE
yes,
unfortunately, no

The Dessert Party.
yes,
unfortunately, no

We used Waltograph. Our STDs had a script font so we changed it up and I love our invites! Google, free script fonts and I'm sure you will find something that goes beautifully with the rest of your theme. Good Luck:wizard:

The wording I really like I found online somewhere:

The air will be filled
by the magic of love as we
Bride
and
Groom
are united in marriage
on this day of enchantment
date
year
at time
Location
Address

You can always just scan invitation sites and save the wording you like. Or, you can change the wording around if like you a portion of one and a portion of another.

Here is what we're working on for the invites. We had a friend design our "logo" and it will be at the top of the invite. We'll also have it on our cocktail napkins and goodybags for our candy buffet.

Thanks, we think so too. She charged us a whopping $24 for the STD's. She printed 30 for us. Says the invites will be about $40. Can you belive that?? The card stock is awesome, the pics don't do them justice. So thrilled to find amazing deals. Thanks again! ;)
