Need information about purchasing single day park tickets

Headed for DW for a second time next month. Both times we've worked through a travel agent. However, my wife wanted to purchase single day tickets for her sister and boys who recently moved to Tampa so they can join us at MK for a day. I plan to just purchase directly through the Disney website unless anyone can recommend a far better deal. In addition, my biggest question is coordinating FPs for the day. I'd like to be able to just book their FPs for them, as it would be easier and I'm not sure her sister would even bother signing up at MDE to do it herself. So once I purchase the tickets, how do I go about setting it up so I can book their FPs? How do they then redeem their FPs once in the parks? Does Disney actually provide Magic Bands for single day tickets?

Thanks in advance!

The best deal for MK is going to be the florida resident 1 day ticket right now since they are residents and I think your visiting when it would be valid. Not sure how a non-resident would purchase them for someone who is a resident so you may need to call or let them purchase them logging into mde with a florida address on their account as they would appear for online purchase. Generally proof of residency is needed so don't try to slip yourself into the same deal. It'll be 97, 102 or 114 depending on what day they are actually joining you (adult price). Disney has peak pricing for 1 day tickets and per the website in feb there is all 3 peak levels on different days.

You only get a free magicband if staying at a disney resort. They could use a previous trip magicband or just their hard tickets they can pick up on the way into the park. Magicbands are not a requirement. if your seriously considering buying bands for them as well you didn't list how many people are actually coming but it might actually be cheaper or very close to the price to also get them a 1 night stay at a value resort so they don't have to make the 90 minute trip back when exhausted. I think there is a florida resident deal on values right now so it might be cheaper than you think. I want to say 4 people plus parking (they need to pay to park) would be the same price as a value + 4 solid color magic bands and no longer a parking fee.

Also they can't ride anything during Extra magic hours and can't get in early during morning extra magic hours. If your planning to utilize them on the day they are coming, that 1 night stay to get a magicband would make them eligible to be there during emh.

Thanks for the info! So those prices are they FL resident prices? The day we're planning is Feb 7, which I'm seeing adult ticket's are $105 that day, the cheapest tier...so really the FL resident discount is $8/ticket and may not be worth the extra hassle for us (they are a family of 4). We're not planning EMH so that's not a concern for us. And unless I'm not looking at this right...I'm getting a quote of nearly $1000 for a 1 night package at a value resort. That's not going to be an option for us...and even at a cheaper rate I'm not sure they even want to or can stay overnight on short notice given their work schedules.

So if I purchase tickets for them myself, I should be able to link they to my account and book FPs? Then they just need to stop at pick up physical tickets when entering the park to redeem FPs?

The value should be much closer to $100! Try just a room only, Florida resident rate.

The discount is much better if your looking at 3 or 4 day tickets but yes it's minimal for 1 day into MK. it looks 10 off for the other parks. It's a low tier date. The website is telling me 303 for 1 adult and 2 kids on florida resident 1 day tickets.

I"m not sure what you did there to get 1000. 1 night, feb 7 to 8th, all stars is $74 for standard room (plus tax) florida resident deal, $94 without it.

Parking is $20, cheapest Magicbands (again optional) are $15 each if you go that direction.

They will probably mail them to you but yes if needed you just pick up the tickets from any guest rleations or ticket booth.

Yeah I'm not sure what I did on the room quote either...it seemed to show the low rate (<$100/night), but when I selected the dates and number of guests it then showed me ~$1000 for the whole package. Maybe it was giving me park tickets for 2 days. I'll double check this eve...but either way, thanks for the help!

If interested, you should be able to get a room at one of the AllStar resorts for about $84 including tax that night with the Florida Resident discount. If you go this route, I would book the room as a room-only and simply buy a 1-day ticket separately and link everything to MDE so you can make FP+ together. As Accident said, if you are considering buying 4 magic bands and they need to park, you are already looking at spending about $72 on MB's and parking. For $12 more, you get those perks plus a room! But, again, you don't need MB's to utilize FP+.
